A trending dance video filmed at the Central Philippine University Senior High School (CPU SHS) recently went viral on social media, drawing attention not only to the studentsโ performance but also to the clean and well-maintained corridors of the SHS building.
As of today, July 22, the video had garnered more than 1.8 million views, 278,600 likes, and thousands of comments on TikTok. Featuring Grade 12 student Raven Anthony Orot and his classmate, Christian Ace Modesto, as they recreated the TikTok-trending dance challenge โI Want You Backโ by Brotherhood, inspired by BTS members Jungkook and J-Hope.
According to Raven, who is also the Vice President of SHS Dance Club โHugyaw Lawinโ, the idea came spontaneously after watching the original video, describing the recreation as something they did โfor fun.โ Neither student expected the upload to gain widespread attention, saying Raven only discovered its popularity after friends told him to check TikTok.

On the other hand, Ace, who did the camera work and filming, added that the videography was achieved through careful movements and without the use of special editing. โIt was the phone. All I did was move the camera and slide my feet backward,โ Ace said, gliding somewhat like a โsmooth operator.โ

While many viewers praised the performance, others also noticed the cleanliness of the building, particularly its corridors. The positive comments drew attention to the maintenance personnel responsible for keeping the campus clean and orderly.
Florenda Babac, a member of the maintenance agency, stated that the appreciation reflects their daily efforts to keep the building neat and conducive for learning before students arrive. She added that the maintenance team begins work early every morning, cleaning each classroom, hallway, and surrounding areas before students arrive to ensure a conditioned and effective learning environment.

Furthermore, Ms. Marjorie Rice, homeroom adviser of Raven and Ace, said the viral video reflected positively on the Senior High School community by highlighting the studentsโ creativity while also drawing attention to the schoolโs merit for cleanliness.
โIโm really proud of those two students,โ Ms. Rice said.
โDespite their busy Grade 12 schedule, especially with their research requirements, they still found time to do something they enjoyed while showcasing how clean our building is,โ she added.
As the video continues to reach more viewers online, it serves as a reminder that even a simple moment of creativity can bring well-deserved recognition to the students and the entire CPU SHS community.
