The Graduate School Student Council Strategic Planning 2026 was successfully held today at the West Visayas State University – Main Campus, College of Education.

The program features meaningful discussions and planning sessions facilitated by the Council’s dedicated advisers, Dr. Hilda C. Montaño and Dr. Ricky M. Magno, and led by GSSC Chairperson Sir Michael Jayson Remolio, focusing on strategic leadership, organizational development, and the establishment of clear goals and priorities for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Graduate student leaders will also engage in workshops, action planning, and project development activities designed to strengthen the Council’s programs and initiatives and promote responsive, purposeful, and service-oriented leadership within the graduate student community.

Through collaborative planning and shared commitment, the Graduate School Student Council continues to build a stronger foundation for effective leadership and meaningful service.

ICYMI | WVSU COE Graduate School Orientation & GSSC Leadership Turnover

The WVSU College of Education Graduate School recently gathered graduate students for an orientation and provided an overview of the graduate school experience, expectations, and opportunities for student engagement.

The program also featured the GSSC Accomplishment Report, highlighting the council’s initiatives, activities, and contributions throughout its term. This was followed by the formal turnover of the Graduate School Student Council (GSSC), symbolizing the transition of responsibilities from the outgoing officers to the newly elected student leaders.

The event culminated in the oath-taking of the new GSSC officers, who formally accepted their roles and commitment to serve the graduate student community.

Congratulations to the incoming officers, and thank you to the outgoing GSSC for your service and accomplishments. May the new council continue to lead with purpose, integrity, and commitment to the WVSU COE Graduate School community.
