Meaningful participation means more than giving young people a seat at the table. It means creating spaces where their voices matter and can lead to real influence.

Youth Work Center engages in the Strategic Planning & Capacity Development 2026, held on September 9–10 at Camp Goducate, San Miguel, Iloilo.

Organized by the Iloilo Provincial Youth Development Office (IPYDO) and the Panlalawigang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan (PPSK) of Iloilo Province, the two-day engagement brought together youth development partners for collaborative discussions, strategic planning sessions, and team-building activities.

The Youth Work Center continues to support capacity-building initiatives that contribute to more responsive, inclusive, and sustainable youth development efforts across Iloilo Province.

Together, we strengthen the systems, strategies, and partnerships that create meaningful opportunities for the young people of Iloilo.

𝗬𝗪𝗖𝗜𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁.

The Youth Work & Civic Innovation Conference 2026 came to a meaningful close after two days of learning, dialogue, collaboration, and innovation that brought together young people, researchers, practitioners, leaders, and partners from different sectors.

The final day continued the conversations through the Executive Conversation and Masterclass, featuring Jsrah “Mcbee” P. Malones, Local Youth Development Officer, Iloilo City, alongside meaningful discussions on youth leadership, innovation, and action.

The conference also marked the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between the Youth Work Center and the Iloilo Provincial Government, strengthening opportunities for collaboration in youth development, research, and civic innovation.

From shared ideas and meaningful conversations to new connections and partnerships, YWCIC 2026 gave us something worth carrying forward. It reminded us that the energy created in a conference becomes more meaningful when the conversations continue, partnerships grow stronger, and ideas find their way into action.

YWCIC 2026 may have closed, but what we started together continues. As we carry these ideas forward, we look ahead to what we can build next, creating greater opportunities and meaningful impact for, with, and by the youth.

A significant milestone unfolded at the Youth Work & Civic Innovation Conference 2026 as the 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

The partnership brings together a shared commitment to advancing the Provincial Government’s advocacy for total youth development, youth work, research, civic innovation, and meaningful ilonggo youth engagement. Through this collaboration, stronger opportunities are created for young people to learn, participate, lead, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Together, we strengthen the spaces where ideas can grow, innovations can take shape, and young people can turn participation into meaningful impact.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆. 🥂

After a day filled with learning, research, and innovation, the YWCIC 2026 community came together for an evening of connection, celebration, and shared purpose.

The Networking Dinner began with a warm welcome from Hon. Esara Aldeguer Javier, SK Federation President, Province of Iloilo, setting the tone for a night centered on partnership and meaningful engagement.

This was followed by the Collaboration and Innovation Toast led by Alfred O. Dicto, RN, MDM, Founder of the Youth Work Research and Training Center, celebrating the ideas, partnerships, and possibilities that continue to shape youth work and civic innovation.

The night was enriched by a meaningful performance from WVSU Teatro Dagami, which beautifully reflected the essence of student leadership. The performance, was a reminder that when young people are given the freedom, trust, and space to explore, they can discover their potential, grow in confidence, and become leaders capable of creating meaningful change.

The Youth Work Research and Training Center shared its closing message, leaving us with a reminder that the conversations we begin together can continue to inspire collaboration long after the conference ends.
