In celebration of ASEAN Month, we’re transforming the WVSU Alumni Park into an open-air photo gallery. Whether you shoot with a DSLR or a smartphone, this is your chance to showcase your vision, represent the WVSU community, and reflect ASEAN values through local realities.

One fold at a time, we came together to create something meaningful. 🧡

WVSU TeatroTayo joined the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, sharing a day filled with energy, creativity, laughter, and new connections with fellow young people.

Organized by the SK Federation of Iloilo City, the celebration brought different youth communities together, reminding us that like origami, every fold matters. Each person brings a unique shape, story, and purpose, but when we come together, we become part of something bigger.

LNK 2026 reminds us that the youth are not only the future. We are also an important part of the present, shaping, creating, and folding our own stories today.

🎭🔥 𝟏 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐖𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄!🔥🎭

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗱.

For the final day of our countdown, we look back at “𝗧𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗻”, a devised adaptation of Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus from Iloilo Narratives and Layeta Bucoy’s Tinarantadong Asintado, 𝙙𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝘿𝙧. 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙣 𝙅𝙪𝙖𝙣, 𝘿𝙧. 𝙍𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙇. 𝙋𝙪𝙡𝙟𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙧. 𝙅𝙚𝙢𝙪𝙚𝙡 𝘽. 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙖 𝙅𝙧.

A story shaped through power, violence, revenge, survival, and the realities that surround us, reimagined through an Ilonggo lens and brought into a world closer to home. 🎭

Because theater has the power to take an old story and ask new questions.

What happens when the stories of the past meet the realities of our present?
What happens when we dare to look at the things we would rather leave unseen?

Perhaps that is what every artist eventually discovers: the stage is not only a place to perform, it is a place to confront, create, question, and make people feel.

And now, after days of revisiting the stories that have graced the TeatroTayo stage, tomorrow, the countdown ends.

Our very own Alderperson, Thea Anne Mendoza, will take the stage to share her journey - the learnings, and the magic behind her experiences in the residency programme.

Sometimes, the things we keep hidden are the very things asking to be understood.

For Day 2, we look back at “𝓖𝓵𝓪𝓭𝓲𝓸𝓵𝓪𝓼” 𝓫𝔂 𝓟𝓮𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓢𝓸𝓵𝓲𝓼 𝓝𝓮𝓻𝔂, a work that invites us to look beneath the surface and into the complexities of memory, identity, longing, and the human experience. 🌺

Like a flower, a story can carry beauty and pain at the same time. Some memories bloom quietly, some refuse to fade, and some truths take courage to finally face.

And perhaps that is what theater gives us: a place to feel what we cannot always say, and to see parts of ourselves reflected in someone else's story. 🎭

You are all invited! In celebration of the 89th Iloilo City Charter Day, SM City Iloilo and Taohay NCCA presents 'HÁNAG: Emergent Perspectives - Works by Ilonggo Artists and Designers'. The artists (working on different media), filmmakers and designers are gathered for the very first time to present a sincere ode to Iloilo City, a hometown that honed them in unique ways. Presented by SM City Iloilo and Taohay NCCA Cultural Center and Regional Hub in association with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc. and the City of Iloilo; and curated by Elvert Bañares (in his first curatorial project for Iloilo in over a decade), the show brings together works by acclaimed, award-winning and some of the most promising visual artists, filmmakers and designers.
