For years, the council has been the spearhead of most of the school programs but we believe that we can achieve more through the spirit of cooperation. Thus, we believe that bringing back the traditions of different events as before in Tiongsan will give us the opportunity to grow, nurture, and enhance our skills by bringing back the different clubs and organizations that have been forgotten in the recent years and to celebrate milestones by showcasing our strengths and passion through various activities.

There are lessons that we can learn from the past and it is up to us to use them in order to become better versions of ourselves in the future. We implore you to let us lead you through all the traditions, culture, and upbringing of a blue-blooded Tiongsanista. Synergy is better than my way or your way. It's our way.

The passionate month of February has arrived, we, the Sun Yat Sen High School Student Council officers, are pleased to announce the "Hearts Afire" ❤️‍🔥 a Valentines Day Celebration Program.

Whether you are single and contented, or still hurting from getting friend-zoned, this event is sure to give you the fun and excitement you have been anticipating.

The event will happen on FEBRUARY 17, 2023 (FRIDAY) FROM 1-6 PM AT THE SCHOOL QUADRANGLE.

STUDENTS FROM GRADES 4 TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO JOIN. STUDENTS MUST WEAR THE COMPLETE UNIFORM IN THE MORNING AND WILL CHANGE TO ATTIRES ACCORDING TO THE GIVEN DRESS CODE DURING THE EVENT IN THE AFTERNOON.

Good day, Tiongsanistas! Halalan 2023 is just around the corner. This is the time to show our democratic participation to select a new set of student leaders who will uphold principles of dedicated leadership and service and to empower others to make a change.

We, the SYSHS COMELEC, promise to do the utmost of our abilities to give you comprehensive election-related information, and make sure to conduct fair, accurate, thorough and honest election.

Please be guided of the following information regarding the Halalan 2023:
ELIGIBILITY: All Grades 3 to 11 learners are encouraged and invited to participate in Student Council Halalan.

QUALIFICATIONS for PRESIDENT – to AUDITOR:
 must have a grade point average of 85% in both Chinese and English subjects.
 must be an incoming Grade 10 student (next S.Y. 2023-2024). (For President
only)
 must have a grade point average of 85% in both Chinese and English subjects.

Other POSITIONS (Representatives)
 must be an bonafide student of SYSHSII
 must be an incoming Grade 4 - 12 learners of SYSHSII
 must have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 80% in both Chinese and English subjects.

3. 2x2 picture with white background - 2 pcs.

(PARTY REQUIREMENTS)
1. Must have a vision (platforms) and proposed plans for the school and entire student body.
2. Must submit a list of aspiring candidates with party name.
3. Must make a campaign poster to be posted in SYS Student Council page and SYS Student Council Bulletin Board during the campaign period (subject for checking before posting)
Campaign Poster Size for each Party List: 3 x 2 ft.

-March 3 - Election Proper (from 7:30 A.M. - 3:00 P.M)
-March 6 - Announcement of Final and Official Winners

2022 is a blessed year for the Student Council of Sun Yat Sen High School of Iloilo, Inc. With the help of the Tiongsan community, we were able to do a lot of things. From welcoming the students for the School Year 2022-2023 to preparing a program for the Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day. We have also launched the Oplan: Tinlo Tiongsan as well as the ongoing Piso-A-Day-Challenge. We have provided 127 learning kits to the learners of Tacas Elementary School and 126 food packs to the families of Brgy Ortiz.
Our value focus for the month of December is Charity, Care and Compassion. It was clearly embodied in our last outreach program for 2022 which is the Blue Lion Gift-Giving.
We hope to do more in 2023. With your support, we are confident that can we bring more smiles to our fellow Tiongsanistas and Ilonggos in the coming year.
There are so many people to thank for guiding us, supporting us and believing in us. To our principal, Ma'am Novee T. Yap, to our advisers, to the faculty and staff of SYSHSII, to our schoolmates, parents, and to the whole Tiongsan community, thank you very much for teaching us the way we should be.

The clean person is not the one who runs away from dirt but one who takes the time and effort to tidy-up a dirty environment.

OPLAN TINLO TIONGSAN is a clean up project led by the Student Council officers that involved students and teachers in maintaining the cleanliness of the school.

Classrooms, hallways, stairs, and walls were wiped, swept, and brushed.

The project aims to teach Tiongsanistas the value of cleanliness because a clean place is a safe place.

The project was launched in December 10, 2022 and will continue again in 2023.
