Although youth employment in Asia and the Pacific has gradually improved since the COVID-19 pandemic, many young people remain not in employment, education, or training (NEET), a persistent challenge that undermines the region’s human capital and inclusive growth potential. The causes are complex, including social norms, caregiving responsibilities, limited access to quality jobs, and education–labor market mismatches.

Sustainability talks over clean food with UN Global Compact, our mentor Sir Ludwig, friends Brian, Bryan of Bambike, and Yrhen of Ocean Centre, new found friends from the media, and of course, the organizer, Pristine Solutions.

The Philippine Sustainability Movement has celebrated their 10-year Anniversary driving sustainability and traceability in the country through collaborations with the private sector.

They started small with a couple of partners driving awareness for sustainability and after 10 years, not only did their partners grow but also multiplied their impact. Happy to have seen their plans for 2030 as well.

Will be bringing sustainability, traceability insights, and private sector lenses to upcoming speaking engagements! 💚

SDGs and Futures Thinking

When I was conceptualizing SK Awards, I knew it will be hard to look for knowledge partners provided the small community for futures. But that didn’t stop me from seeking to uncover a value proposition that will get the buy-in of stakeholders.

In one of the UN SDG forums i attended, the fellowships I attended, the talks with the embassies I heard, I was able to further contextualize the need to localize our efforts to, as what the UN says, “Keeping the promise.” And in what better way can we do this through our local communities and the youth?
