CPU Marks Fourth Consecutive Year in Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings
Central Philippine University (CPU) has once again earned a place in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, formerly known as the THE Impact Rankings, marking the fourth consecutive year that the University has been recognized in the global ranking system that assesses universities based on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The 2026 results were released at the Global Sustainable Development Congress in Jakarta, Indonesia, held from June 22 to 25, 2026, where Dr. Anna May Zerrudo, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, is currently in attendance. The Congress brings together universities, governments, industry leaders, and sustainability advocates from around the world to advance action on the SDGs.
In this year’s ratings, CPU placed in the 1001–1500 overall institutional ranking and was ranked in eight SDG categories, reflecting the University’s continuing commitment to sustainability, quality education, social responsibility, and institutional partnerships.
CPU’s highest placements this year were in SDG 2 – Zero Hunger
SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being, and
SDG 15 – Life on Land, where it ranked within the 401–600 bracket.
CPU also placed in SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities at 601–800, and in SDG 1 – No Poverty and SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions at 801+. For SDG 4 – Quality Education, CPU ranked 1001+, while for SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, it placed in the 1001–1500 bracket.
This year’s result marks an improvement from CPU’s 1501+ overall ranking in 2024 and 2025. Since its debut in the THE Impact Rankings in 2023, CPU has steadily expanded its global visibility, ranking in four SDGs in 2023, seven SDGs in 2024, and eight SDGs in both 2025 and 2026.

QAAC and RCECC Conduct Workshops on Documented Information and ISO 21001:2018 Forms
The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center (QAAC), in partnership with the Review, Continuing Education and Consultancy Center (RCECC), conducted two capacity-building workshops on April 24, 2026 at the Henry Luce III Library Conference Room to strengthen quality assurance practices among academic secretaries and new administrators of Central Philippine University.
In the morning session, Ms. Rhoda Angelo, University Document Controller, facilitated the Workshop on the Control of Documented Information for Academic Secretaries. The workshop aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to properly create, manage, protect, retrieve, and dispose of documented information in accordance with institutional policies, quality assurance requirements, and data privacy standards.
In the afternoon, Dr. Anna May Zerrudo, Director of the QAAC, led the ISO 21001:2018 (Educational Organizations Management System) Forms Orientation and Workshop for New Administrators. The session helped new administrators understand how ISO 21001:2018 is translated into actual office practice through key institutional quality assurance forms.
These workshops reaffirm CPU’s commitment to continuous quality improvement, evidence-based quality assurance, and the effective implementation of ISO 21001:2018.
