Our Time, God’s Timing, and Preparing for the Board Exam

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
— Psalm 90:12 (NIV)

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)

We all have our own timetable. We may have already decided when we want to take the board exam, when we want to pass, and when we want to begin the next chapter of our lives. Sometimes, however, our plans do not happen exactly as we expect. We may ask ourselves, “Should I take the board exam now, or should I wait?”

These verses remind us that our time is limited, but God sees the bigger picture. Psalm 90:12 teaches us to number our days—not simply to count them, but to use them wisely. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that there is a proper season for everything.

When it comes to taking the board exam, trusting God’s timing does not mean simply waiting and doing nothing. Faith and preparation should go together. We prepare ourselves as much as we can, study consistently, answer questions, learn from our mistakes, strengthen our weaknesses, and discipline ourselves. Then, we prayerfully discern whether this is the season to take the exam.

If you are ready, do not be afraid to take the opportunity. If you are not yet ready, do not be ashamed to take more time to prepare. Taking the exam later does not mean you have failed. Taking it now does not guarantee an easy journey. What matters is that your decision is made with wisdom, prayer, honest self-assessment, and diligent preparation.

We should not compare our timetable with someone else’s. Some may pass on their first attempt; others may need more time. Some may reach their goals earlier, while others may take a different path. God’s timing for your life is not measured by someone else’s calendar.

So, as you prepare for the board exam, ask yourself:

Have I prepared faithfully?
Am I willing to give my best?
Have I identified and worked on my weaknesses?
Am I making this decision because I am ready, or because I am pressured by others?
Have I prayed and surrendered my plans to God?

Our responsibility is to prepare; God is responsible for the outcome. We cannot control the result, but we can control how faithfully we prepare.

Perhaps the most important lesson is this: Do not waste the season you are in. If this is your season to prepare, prepare wholeheartedly. If this is your season to take the exam, step forward with courage. And whatever the outcome, continue to trust God.

We may have our own timetable, but God has His perfect timing. Our task is not to know everything that lies ahead, but to be faithful with what God has placed before us today.

Prepare diligently. Pray sincerely. Decide wisely. And when the time comes, take the step with faith.

“Lord, teach us to number our days, give us wisdom in our decisions, strength in our preparation, and peace in Your timing. May we do our part faithfully and leave the results in Your hands. Amen.”

Empowering Future Chemists Through Excellence.

On July 17, 2026, the Caneos Review and Training Center had the distinct honor of welcoming Ms. Al-shaimah Alonto, Regulatory Affairs Department Head of Clark Water Corporation, as our distinguished lecturer on Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Mindanao State University, Marawi City (Class of 2006), Ms. Alonto has built an outstanding career in regulatory affairs and the water utility industry. Her extensive professional experience and practical application of chemistry provided our Chemist and Chemical Technician Licensure Examination reviewees with valuable insights that extend far beyond the board examination.

Through her engaging lecture, our reviewees gained a deeper appreciation of the principles of quality, safety, regulatory compliance, professionalism, and integrity—essential values that every future chemist and chemical technician must uphold in the laboratory and in the workplace.

📢 Official Schedule for the October 2026 Chemistry Licensure Examinations

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has officially opened the application period for the October 2026 Chemist Licensure Examination. Meanwhile, applications for the Chemical Technician Licensure Examination will begin on July 16, 2026.

Please take note of the following schedule:
🧪 Chemist Licensure Examination (CBLE)
•Application Period: July 14 – September 14, 2026
•Examination Dates: October 13–14, 2026
•Target Release of Results: October 19, 2026

⚗️ Chemical Technician Licensure Examination
•Application Period: July 16 – September 14, 2026
•Examination Date: October 12, 2026
•Target Release of Results: October 19, 2026

Applicants are encouraged to prepare all the required documents in advance and submit their applications as early as possible to avoid last-minute delays and to secure their preferred appointment slots.
