Advocacy is built through participation, solidarity, and collective action. It takes people who are 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻, 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘂𝗽 for the causes and communities they stand with.

MSU-IIT Indigenous People Student Advocates (MIPSA) is opening its doors to students who want to stand with Indigenous Peoples, help amplify their voices, uphold their rights, and contribute to the work of protecting and celebrating Indigenous cultures and heritage.

Whether you come from an Indigenous community or stand as an ally, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. Lend your voice, your time, and your hands to the cause, and be part of the movement.

The Welcome Week for the new academic year ushered in 2,897 freshmen during the morning activities of the first day of this week-long event, August 10.

Different colleges showcased their unity and enthusiasm with the symbolic shepherding of the freshmen students, participated in by University officials, faculty and staff, and the senior students.
