Now calling the Philippines home and working alongside communities, including initiatives that support Filipino farmers and local development, 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐘.𝐌. 𝐖𝐨𝐧𝐠 (𝐑𝐞𝐭.) is exactly the kind of visionary the MSU-IIT Class of 2026 deserves to hear from.

A leader who has helped move billions for climate justice, stood up for vulnerable communities across Asia and the Pacific, and broken barriers as the first openly le***an person and first LGBTQ person of color to hold an ambassador-level post in U.S. history, she brings to our commencement stage a powerful message of courage, service, and transformational leadership that speaks directly to the aspirations of MSU-IIT graduates.

When she takes the MSU-IIT commencement stage on July 29, 2026, may her story move every graduate to turn conviction into action and aspiration into impact.
