Happy Philippine Internet Day!

Ngayong araw, ginugunita natin ang ika-32 anibersaryo nang unang pagkakonek ng Pilipinas sa internet noong Marso 29, 1994.

Noon, imposible ang chat, video calls, online class, digital jobs, at e-commerce, pero ngayon, malayo na ang narating ng Pilipinas dahil bahagi na ang araw-araw na buhay ang internet.

Sa pangunguna ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), patuloy na pinapalawak ang libreng internet access sa mas maraming Pilipino, mula lungsod hanggang sa kabundukan at isla. Sa pamamagitan ng Free Wi-Fi for All, National Broadband Program, Government Network, at Common Tower ng DICT, mas nagiging abot-kamay ang oportunidad sa pag-aaral, sa kabuhayan, at sa mas mabilis na serbisyong pampubliko.

Sa pagdiriwang na ito, pinatitibay natin ang misyon na isulong ang ligtas, inklusibo at konektadong Pilipinas, kung saan walang Pilipino ang maiiwan offline.
