𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐃𝐄 5 𝐎𝐅 𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄

After welcoming the freshmen in the morning, August 14, continued with another unforgettable chapter of our college adventure. The day began with the 𝐊𝐀𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐀 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲, where students gathered, connected , and got to know more about the community they are now part of.

But wait… there's more. As the sun went down, the adventure turned up with the 𝐀𝐜𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲! From new faces to new friendships, the evening was filled with laughter, music, and memories that made the day even more special.

Just like Phineas and Ferb, we didn’t let the day end without making it one to remember. From morning assembly to evening celebration, episode 5 proved that there’s always something exciting waiting around the corner.

In a fast-moving world where many problems arise, people come together and pitch their ideas into a solution. A program like the 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐨 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐚𝐛 (𝐘𝐁𝐋𝐋) is designed for Filipino students to nurture the creativity that lies within themselves, a safe space where mistakes aren’t a failure but an opportunity. An 8-month journey where students across the country are invited to participate in this event.

After an 𝟖-𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲, the participants are equipped with more ideas and skills that push them to go further. The sky is the limit, and their ideas go beyond the heights of the 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐠 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲. Brilliant minds gathered in one place, honed to lead with a purpose, and to propel the economy forward. During the event, they socialized strategically. As their interactions increase, their network expands too.

The Junior Economics Society proudly recognizes its student scholars for their outstanding performance in the Young Banatao Learning Lab (YBLL) 3.0 Ideathon/Hackathon, an innovative initiative spearheaded by the𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐃𝐞𝐯 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬.

Beyond the hallways of MSU-IIT, the representatives from the Economics Department, 𝘼𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝘼𝙫𝙞𝙡𝙖, 𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙞𝙚 𝘼𝙮𝙖𝙙𝙚, 𝘼𝙗𝙙𝙪𝙡 𝙈𝙤𝙟𝙞𝙗 𝘿𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣, 𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙖𝙣 𝘿𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖 proved their excellence and the fruit of their training.

𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐌 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐇, where 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚 is a member, secured 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫-𝐔𝐩. Their team 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝘽𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 among other groups.

Meanwhile, 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩, 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐫, were recognized as the 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙥.

The Young Banatao Learning Lab continues to strengthen the foundation for the younger generation to come forward, explore, and lead.

On August 13, our freshmen stepped into a new chapter as the JES Orientation welcomed the freshmen to a day filled with new faces, new stories, and exciting possibilities. Just like Phineas and Ferb always say, there’s always something to do– and today, it was all about discovering what awaits beyond the first day.

From meeting new friends to getting to know the community, our newest students took their first step into college life, ready to turn ordinary days into extraordinary adventures.

For episode 3 of MSU-IIT’s welcoming week, our Ekonomistas ventured off to the gym and attended the𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬, 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 (𝐂𝐄𝐁𝐀) 𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 listening in on what to expect from their college adventures ahead.

Another quest conquered, and many more await! Will the Ekonomistas build a rocket, fight a mummy, or climb the eiffel tower?

As the Ekonomistang freshies continued their journey exploring the halls of IIT finding Perry the Platypus, the Junior Economics Society opened their booth on the second day of Welcoming Week.

The freshies found their way on what to do during their second day through the games prepared by Phineas and Ferb Squad.

Our freshmen kicked off 𝗝𝗘𝗦 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 with a meaningful morning of shepherding and a vibrant showcase of MSU-IIT’s resident cultural groups through 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗴. ✨

Then, the adventure continued in the afternoon as our JES Officers led the freshmen on a 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫, helping them discover the places they’ll soon call part of their college journey.

From culture to campus, Day 1 was definitely one for the books!
