Today, we commemorate the 𝟏𝟐𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲—a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit that shaped our nation's freedom.

The Junior Economics Society successfully brought the Spotify Wrapped experience to life during 𝘊𝘌𝘉𝘈'𝘴 𝘈𝘭𝘢𝘺 𝘴𝘢 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 2026. Through the interactive booth outside the University Amphitheater, graduates revisited the milestones, memories, and achievements that defined their journey from first year to fourth year.
The event also became a meaningful celebration for graduating JES students, who received their Certificates of Appreciation in recognition of their contributions and dedication to the organization.

From heartfelt messages to unforgettable snapshots, the booth quickly became a crowd favorite, with many appreciating the Spotify Wrapped-inspired theme. Among the entries that earned a spot on the charts was the now-iconic message, "𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙮𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙘𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙚,” capturing the hopes and excitement of the graduating batch.

The Junior Economics Society proudly congratulates the 𝑫𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒄𝒔 of MSU-IIT on the successful attainment of 𝑳𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍 𝑰𝑽 𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 for the 𝑩𝑺𝑩𝑨 𝑩𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑬𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒄𝒔 program by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc.

This remarkable achievement reflects the department's unwavering commitment to academic excellence, quality education, and continuous improvement. It stands as a testament to the dedication of its faculty, staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders in advancing knowledge and fostering a learning environment that empowers future economists and leaders.

As the department continues its pursuit of knowledge, innovation, and academic distinction, may this milestone inspire even greater achievements and strengthen its role in shaping minds of the future economists.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊| 𝐉𝐄𝐒 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲

The MSU-IIT Junior Economics Society successfully conducted its Offboarding and Onboarding Program on May 28, 2026, at Creatives Hub – Iligan, bringing together the outgoing and incoming set of JES officers in a meaningful transition of leadership and service.

The program became a space for reflection, preparation, and collaboration as every incumbent officer shared an overview of their respective responsibilities, important preparations, valuable experiences, and practical tips for their successors. Through these conversations, the incoming officers were given insights that will guide them in carrying the organization forward.

To strengthen camaraderie and teamwork, the event also featured an interactive card-based activity centered on team building, communication, and strategic planning — reminding everyone that leadership thrives through cooperation and shared vision.

As the program drew to a close, a symbolic turnover of responsibility took place. Outgoing President Aikonhart Lagdameo, together with outgoing Executive Vice President Kate Angela Cabrera, formally handed over the key of responsibility to their successors, Abdul Mojib Ditucalan and Hannan Dimacaling, who will serve as the new President and Executive Vice President of JES.

With new leaders stepping forward and the legacy of service continuing, the organization looks ahead to another year of commitment, growth, and leadership in service of the Kabataang Ekonomista. ✨

With the conclusion of the Special Elections 2026, the set of officers who will serve the organization for the upcoming school year is now complete. These student leaders have been entrusted with the responsibility to continue serving the Economics student body with dedication, integrity, and commitment.
