NAPOCOR ES JOURNALISTS SHINE AT DSPC 2026
ILIGAN CITY — Young campus journalists from NAPOCOR Elementary School proudly made their mark during the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2026, held at Iligan City National High School from September 11 to 13, 2026.
Leading the school’s achievements was Steven Paul D. De Leon, who clinched 1st Place in Column Writing, earning a spot on the road to the Regional Schools Press Conference. His impressive performance showcased his ability to express ideas clearly, creatively, and meaningfully through written journalism.
Adding to NES’ success were Kalel Thomas M. Fin, who secured 5th Place, and Kean Rex L. Conje, who placed 6th Place in Copyreading and Headline Writing. Their accomplishments reflected their keen attention to detail, language skills, and understanding of the fundamentals of news writing and headline construction.
Behind these accomplishments is Maria Grace G. Sasuter, the School Journalism Coordinator and coach of NAPOCOR Elementary School, whose guidance, dedication, and encouragement helped prepare the young journalists for the competition.
The achievements of the three young journalists brought pride to the entire NAPOCOR ES community, demonstrating that determination, preparation, and passion for journalism can lead to excellence.
With Steven Paul D. De Leon advancing toward the regional level, NAPOCOR ES continues to nurture young writers who are ready to inform, inspire, and make their voices heard.
