Iligan City, September 25, 2024—𝐒𝐭. 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 - Iligan did impress in showing discipline and precision towards 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 31𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 held at the Anahaw Amphitheater. The group of SPC matched against 12 other schools around Mindanao, making this first performance outstanding enough to top the list of one of the premier events of the festival.

Despite such stiff competition from the highly-experienced teams, SPC kept things simple by only using the most basic silent drill technique. But it's in the proper mastery of the fundamentals where they are different from the others: each movement, though so simple, hits so sharply and is synchronized that both the judges and the audience are left utterly shocked.

This victory was more than just a moment of triumph; it was demonstration of 𝐒𝐏𝐂'𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. The success of the team was achieved through hours of grueling practice and tremendous support from their 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐫. 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐤𝐨 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐚 , and their very supportive 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦. , our esteemed 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐫. 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐧 𝐏. 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 for delivered an empowering message of support, fellow students, faculty, staff, and particularly the 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 . From their very first steps on the drill floor, it was always clear that SPC wasn't there to just participate but to win.

Under every shift and maneuver, SPC showed undying discipline, attention, and teamwork. Their apparently simple drill did not bound them; it only made their mastery shine through. Meanwhile, the more complex routines of the rest seemed to be linked with the terseness of SPC's presentation-the less is better, at times.

13 schools all over Mindanao brought their own style and level of experience. However, 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐏𝐂'𝐬 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥. What for such a competitive event was even doing there as a first-timer; they proved that simplicity with precision may be the formula for winning.

Their excellent performance holds a prestigious pride not only among those they serve but the entire SPC family. It indicates that with hard work, focus, and belief that the very basic skills, if directed properly, become stepping stones to great heights.

St. Peter's College came quietly, but they went home with the title, proof that sometimes it's the simpliest that turns out to be the deadliest strategy.
