[Advisory] Temporary Disruption in Google Workspace for Education Services

Dear MSU-IIT Community,

Some features of our Google Workspace for Education (G.MSUIIT) accounts may be temporarily unavailable. Our Education Plus licenses have reached their term, and we are currently requesting a one-month extension from our reseller, while we complete the procurement process, as instructed by Google Support.

Google Drive storage is currently affected due to the organization exceeding its allocated quota. This may limit your ability to upload or create new files.

Updates will be shared once the extension is confirmed.

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬: Activate your IDs, IITians! In a move to enhance security and streamline access, the Information and Communication Technology Center (ICTC) has begun activating radio-frequency identification (RFID) cards at the University Entrance.

Beginning today, students can present their IDs to have their RFID cards scanned for free. The activation will continue on all weekdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This effort is a step toward the highly anticipated automated gate system, set to modernize campus access.

As of this report, there is no definite timetable for the new system to start operating.

: You may now visit the RFID Card Activation Team at the Main Entrance to have your Student ID card activated for turnstile use.
