The 2026 Voltage Reference Design Methodology with SAR ADC IC Design Training officially commenced on August 13 at Camiguin Polytechnic State College (CPSC) for an intensive three-day program spanning August 13โ15, 2026. Spearheaded by the Director of the Center for Integrated Circuits Design (CICD) and the Dean of the MSU-IIT College of Engineering, Dr. Jefferson A. Hora, this initiative aims to strengthen regional capacity and foster innovation in specialized semiconductor design. The opening morning session set an inspiring tone for the workshop, beginning with warm welcome remarks from Dr. Jefferson A. Hora on the importance of building local microelectronics expertise. Following this, Dr. Maria Louella Salcedo, Director for Research Development and Innovation, delivered a special message emphasizing the vital role of research culture and institutional collaboration in driving technological progress. The morning program concluded with insightful remarks from Engr. Luwell Balagas, representing event sponsor TEKMARK, who highlighted the value of industry-academia partnerships in advancing engineering education. Over the remaining days, participants will dive deeper into practical workflows and advanced methodologies in integrated circuit design that focuses on the Voltage Reference and SAR ADCs.

Day 4 was all about strengthening foundations and learning together.
Freshmen from Electronics (ECE), Electronics Technology (ESET), and Microelectronics (MEE) came together for the Crash Course Tutorial, a learning initiative designed to help them revisit and master the course, focusing on key prelim topics in MAT060 and MAT039.
What made the session even more meaningful was the spirit of volunteerism behind it. Junior and senior students from the Society stepped forward as volunteer tutors, generously sharing their time, knowledge, and experiences to guide the freshmen through challenging lessons and problem-solving exercises.
Hereโs to stronger foundations, shared knowledge, and a community that continues to learn, lead, and grow together.

The day opened with a vibrant parade, where officers proudly led and shepherded students through the campus before gathering everyone in the gymnasium. This early momentum set the stage for unity, excitement, and anticipation as the week officially began.
From there, the spotlight shifted to the booth, which came alive with energy and laughter. Students kicked things off with a humorous charot reading that set the tone for the day.
The excitement continued with a detailed robotics demo, showcasing innovation in motion, followed by a conceptual deep dive into IC chips that sparked curiosity among the crowd.
The fun didnโt stop thereโstudents joined a solar toy truck racing competition, while others lined up for the gacha machine that rewarded them with sweet candy surprises.
Voices filled the air as karaoke sessions brought out everyoneโs inner performer, making the booth a hub of entertainment and learning.
Of course, none of these moments would have been possible without the dedication and effort of the officers, whose preparationโfrom shepherding the parade and gym activities in the morning to managing the booth throughout the dayโturned the space into a vibrant hub of knowledge, fun, and community.
