Subject: LOCAL HOLIDAYS AND CLASS/OFFICE ARRANGEMENTS

In connection with the celebration of the Diyandi Festival and the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel, and pursuant to Proclamation No. 1431, declaring September 29, 2026 a special non-working day in Iligan City, please be guided by these class and office arrangements adopted for safety and academic continuity.

September 26, 2026 (Saturday). Classes are suspended for the entire day. The morning Silent Drill Competition is expected to cause heavy traffic and road-access difficulties going to the city and the school, creating delays and safety concerns. Afternoon classes are likewise suspended for MTIM’s General Assembly and Acquaintance Party (GAAP). No face-to-face or asynchronous classes shall be conducted.

September 28, 2026 (Monday). The Parada de San Miguel, a civic parade from Ludo Building to Anahaw Amphitheater, is expected to cause road closures, rerouting, and heavy traffic along routes to and from MTIM. For student safety and to prevent unnecessary travel risks and delays, Management has decided to suspend face-to-face classes and adopt asynchronous learning for the entire day.

September 29, 2026 (Tuesday). Special non-working day in Iligan City under Proclamation No. 1431 for the culmination of the Diyandi Festival and the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel. There shall be no classes and no office work.

September 30, 2026 (Wednesday). Administrative Order No. 47, s. 2026, declares a Day of Rest for the Iligan City Government and its 44 barangays and allows private institutions to adopt a similar arrangement. Considering the citywide activities and transportation conditions, MTIM, Inc. shall adopt the same Day of Rest arrangement. Face-to-face classes are therefore suspended, but learning shall continue asynchronously. The Institute’s offices shall remain closed.

Please be further advised that all MTIM offices shall be closed from September 26 to September 30, 2026. Regular face-to-face classes and normal office operations shall resume on October 1, 2026 (Thursday).

On September 28 and 30, faculty shall provide reasonable asynchronous activities through official channels, considering connectivity and resource limitations. Students shall monitor announcements and complete requirements within the prescribed timelines. Everyone is advised to observe traffic and safety advisories.

Subject: REGULAR CLASSES AND EXCUSED ABSENCES ON SEP. 14, 2026

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1395, September 14, 2026, has been declared a special non-working day in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) to allow its residents to participate in the first regular BARMM Parliamentary Elections.

Please be informed that the holiday declaration applies only within BARMM. Since MTIM is located in Iligan City and is not within the territorial jurisdiction of BARMM, all classes and other academic activities at MTIM will proceed as scheduled on Monday, September 14, 2026. There will be no suspension of classes.

However, students who are registered voters in BARMM and who need to travel to their respective polling places to exercise their right to vote shall be excused from their classes on that date.

Concerned students must notify and coordinate with their respective instructors and present appropriate proof of voter registration or other supporting documentation, as may be required. They shall also be responsible for completing all missed lessons and other academic requirements within the period prescribed by their instructors.

To ensure fairness and prevent qualified students from being academically disadvantaged due to their excused absence, no examinations or quizzes shall be scheduled or administered on September 14, 2026. Faculty members may proceed with their regular lectures, classroom discussions, and other non-assessment instructional activities.

Faculty members are directed to provide reasonable make-up arrangements and ensure that qualified students are not academically penalized for their excused absence.

All students who are not qualified for the excused absence are expected to attend their classes and follow their regular academic schedules.

Subject: OBSERVANCE OF MAULUDDIN NABI

Pursuant to Article 169 of Presidential Decree No. 1083, otherwise known as the Code of Muslim Personal Laws of the Philippines, the celebration of Mauluddin Nabi (the Birthday of Prophet Muhammad, S.A.W.) is recognized as a Muslim legal holiday.

This year, the observance of Mauluddin Nabi falls on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, corresponding to the 12th day of Rabbi’ul Awwal 1448 H. In accordance with existing laws and regulations, Iligan City is among the areas where Muslim holidays are officially observed.

In recognition of the significance of this occasion, all classes and office operations at Masters Technological Institute of Mindanao (MTIM) shall be suspended on August 26, 2026. Accordingly, the said date is declared a non-working holiday for the entire institution.

Regular office operations and classes shall resume on Thursday, August 27, 2026, following the normal schedule.

This suspension is observed in respect of the religious and cultural traditions of our Muslim brothers and sisters and to provide the MTIM community with the opportunity to honor and commemorate this meaningful occasion.

Classes:
Regular classes will not be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, in observance of Ninoy Aquino Day. Classes will resume on Saturday, August 22, 2026, and continue according to the regular class schedule. There will likewise be no classes on Monday, August 31, 2026, in observance of National Heroes Day.

Office Operations:
