𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 | 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

One of our fellow crane is going through an incredibly difficult time as her father is currently confined in the hospital and in need of urgent medical care.

According to the family, he needs four (4) bags of B+ blood for transfusion. His laboratory results also show severe kidney dysfunction, and he may need to undergo hemodialysis. With the mounting hospital and medical expenses, the family is now seeking financial assistance to help sustain his treatment.

Behind these medical needs is a family desperately hoping for more time with their loved one. A daughter is hoping that her father will come home. A family is holding on to hope.

Today, we ask our DSME community to stand with them.💚

A huge congratulations to our DSME Cranes who proudly represented the Department of Science and Mathematics Education and MSU-IIT at the MSUSAA Unity Games 2026!

With MSU-IIT emerging as the overall champion with an incredible 116 gold, 41 silver, and 29 bronze medals, every athlete who stepped up and competed became part of this remarkable achievement.

Whether you brought home a medal or simply gave everything you had, every effort, every challenge, and every moment on the playing field was worth celebrating!

We are so proud of every one of you. Keep your wings strong, keep reaching higher, and keep moving forward!

The MSU-IIT community mourns the passing of Sir Basilio Hora, whose years of dedicated service, commitment, and contribution to the University will always be remembered with gratitude and respect.

His life of service has touched many, and the legacy he leaves behind will remain part of the community he faithfully served.

As we honor his memory, we extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, colleagues, and friends during this difficult time.

Your service to the MSU-IIT community will always and forever be treasured.

Today, we honor the courage, sacrifices, and unwavering love for the country of the Filipino heroes who paved the way for the freedom we enjoy today.

Ang kanilang kabayanihan ay hindi lamang bahagi ng ating kasaysayan—it is a legacy that continues to inspire us to serve, stand for what is right, and make a difference in the lives of others.

Hindi kailangang maging dakila agad upang maging bayani. In our own little ways, through service, compassion, and love for our community, we can carry the spirit of heroism forward.

May we never forget those who fought for our freedom, and may we continue their legacy by becoming heroes in our own generation.

CALLING ALL CRANES!

Ready to step beyond being a student and become part of the work that moves our DSME community forward?

The Association of Student Educators in Science and Mathematics (ASESMA) is opening its doors for students who are willing to serve, contribute, collaborate, and lead as Undersecretaries of the ASESMA Standing Committees for A.Y. 2026–2027.

This is more than just a title or a position. It is an opportunity to put your ideas into action, develop your skills, work alongside fellow Cranes, and make a meaningful contribution to our community.

If you have the commitment, initiative, and willingness to serve, we encourage you to take that step.

Please be informed that after the application deadline, an interview will be conducted for all applicants. Further details regarding the date, time, venue, and other interview guidelines will be announced accordingly.

Applications are open from August 28-31, 2026.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT | 2026 ASESMA ELECTION

In the interest of transparency, accountability, and responsible student governance, the Association of Student Educators in Science and Mathematics (ASESMA) releases its Official Statement on the Conduct of the 2026 ASESMA Election.

This statement is issued in response to the concerns raised regarding the conduct of the election, particularly the revised election process, its sequence, the composition and supervision of the Commission on Elections, and the communication of these changes to the ASESMA membership.

ASESMA acknowledges the concerns raised and sincerely apologizes for the insufficient announcement and communication of the revised election process. While the election was conducted after consultation with and permission from the Faculty Adviser, we recognize that proper consultation must also be accompanied by clear communication and transparency toward our members.

The outgoing Executive Council takes responsibility for its part in the process and remains committed to addressing the concerns raised in good faith. Moving forward, ASESMA commits to strengthening its election guidelines, documentation, communication procedures, and adherence to the organization’s Constitution and By-Laws to ensure a clearer, fairer, and more accountable process for succeeding administrations.

This statement is not issued merely in defense of the past, but as an acknowledgment of what must be learned and improved.

We thank the College Student Council, our Faculty Adviser, our members, and everyone who raised their concerns through the proper channels. ASESMA remains committed to transparency, accountability, due process, and responsible student governance.
