In accordance with Implementing Guidelines No. 001, s. 2025–2026, the COMELEC has thoroughly validated and reviewed all nominations, ensuring that each nominee satisfies the qualifications set forth in the JPIChE MSU-IIT Constitution and By-Laws. This process upholds the integrity, transparency, and credibility of the nomination phase.

Furthermore, pursuant to Memorandum No. 006, s. 2025–2026, requests for nomination declination were carefully assessed based on the established procedures and criteria. The COMELEC has approved the declination requests of nominees who met the requirements, and we extend our appreciation for their honesty and understanding of the responsibilities attached to elected positions.

The JPIChE MSU-IIT Commission on Elections (COMELEC) extends its appreciation to all nominees for their willingness to serve and participate in ChElections 2026.

In accordance with Implementing Guidelines No. 002, s. 2025–2026, nominees who wish to decline their nomination may formally submit a request to the COMELEC for evaluation.

• Full name and nominated position(s)
• Detailed reason for declination
• Supporting documents validating the request

• Submission of a declination request does 𝐧𝐨𝐭 automatically withdraw a nominee from the election.
• All requests will undergo thorough review and evaluation by the COMELEC.
• Nominees who do not submit a request before the deadline shall be considered willing candidates and will remain on the official list of candidates.
• Decisions rendered by the COMELEC regarding declination requests shall be final and binding.

Pursuant to COMELEC Memorandum No. 005, s. 2025–2026, the online nomination process conducted from June 1, 2026 at 9:00 AM to June 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM has officially served as the alternative to the filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COC) for the selection of candidates in the JPIChE MSU-IIT Officer Elections for Academic Year 2026–2027.

In accordance with Implementing Guidelines No. 002, s. 2025–2026, nominees must satisfy the qualifications prescribed in the JPIChE MSU-IIT Constitution and By-Laws, including the provision that executive officer nominees must not hold positions in other organizations to ensure their full commitment and dedication to the organization.

Furthermore, all nominees are deemed willing candidates upon nomination. However, nominees may decline their nominations for valid reasons, including personal circumstances, disqualification due to unforeseen conditions, or other justifiable grounds subject to COMELEC evaluation. Nomination for multiple positions was also permitted to ensure that qualified individuals were not limited to a single office.
