Day 2 of Inno.Venta 2025 brought another wave of inspiration, collaboration, and creativity as innovators, researchers, and partners gathered at BatStateU–Alangilan Campus! 🚀✨

The day kicked off with registration and a dynamic forum that opened thought-provoking conversations on innovation and entrepreneurship. This was followed by engaging panel discussions that explored how research-driven solutions can create real economic and social impact. 💡

Participants embarked on an immersion tour, getting a closer look at BatStateU’s innovation and technology facilities — a true showcase of Filipino ingenuity in action. 🇵🇭

The excitement peaked during “Make or Break: The Ultimate Pitches”, where innovators confidently presented their technologies and business ideas to industry experts and partners. The day concluded with a dinner fellowship, celebrating collaboration and shared commitment to advancing the country’s innovation ecosystem. 🤝🍽

Day 1 of Inno.Venta 2025 has successfully concluded — marking an exciting start to this national innovation showcase! 🚀✨

The event opened with registration and ceremonies, followed by inspiring keynote addresses and insightful tech talks that set the tone for a day of collaboration and creativity. The ceremonial opening of exhibits was a highlight, officially welcoming innovators and partner institutions from across the country.

We’re proud to share that the Technology Transfer and Enterprise Unit (TTEU) of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (KTTO), Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology actively participated in the exhibit with Chancellor Alizedney M. Ditucalan, joining the innovators in showcasing university-developed technologies and engaging in meaningful discussions on technology transfer and commercialization. 💡🤝

The day also featured networking sessions, panel discussions, and a fellowship dinner that celebrated partnerships advancing innovation impact across the Philippines.

In line with MSU-IIT’s commitment to strengthening university-industry collaboration, the Technology Transfer and Enterprise Unit - Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (TTEU-KTTO) coordinated a consultation request from Dr. Ronald P. Bual, Project Leader of NICER CSP 2 and BIOChAP, with KTTO's IP Legal, Atty. Edgar Alan A. Donasco, today, October 7, 2025.

This consultation seeks to clarify important matters relating to:

1️⃣ The nature and scope of industry partnerships,
2️⃣ Proper structuring of Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) and Memoranda of Agreement (MOA), and
3️⃣ Other relevant MSU-IIT policies and procedures on external collaborations.

In preparation, project leaders are requested to fill out the provided form to help the office facilitate proper documentation and drafting of partnership agreements.

Through collaborative guidance and structured engagement, we continue to build strong and strategic linkages that transform research into real-world impact. 🌱🤝

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: MSU-IIT Joins Inno.Venta 2025: Transforming Discoveries to Economic Impact

The Technology Transfer and Enterprise Unit (TTEU) – Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (KTTO) of Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) joins the Institute’s local organizing committees in preparing for the university’s participation in Inno.Venta 2025, a national innovation platform organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) under the leadership of Dr. Napoleon K. Juanillo, Jr., Assistant Secretary for Technology Transfer, Communications, and Commercialization.

📍 Batangas State University – The National Engineering University

This national event aims to bridge research and commercialization, bringing together Filipino innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders to showcase technologies, form partnerships, and accelerate impact.

As part of MSU-IIT’s Secretariat Committee, the TTEU-KTTO takes charge of the following:

1️⃣ Listing all projects to be included in the exhibit
2️⃣ Ensuring that all products are accompanied by a Business Model Canvas
3️⃣ Training all exhibitors for effective pitching presentations
4️⃣ Making sure that all technologies have product fliers

MSU-IIT’s Technology Transfer and Enterprise Unit – Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office (TTEU-KTTO) proudly joined the 3rd LIKHA Summit 2025 hosted by Caraga State University on September 30 – October 3, 2025 in Butuan City.

This annual summit brought together researchers, innovators, policymakers, and educators to strengthen collaboration and create solutions for a sustainable and resilient future.

As co-host of Mindanao Technology Transfer Conference 2025, TTEU-KTTO participated in the conference sessions, exhibits, and pitching activities, contributing to discussions on how higher education institutions can turn innovation into impact for Mindanao communities.

Prof. Dr. Ephrime B. Metillo, MSU-IIT’s Vice Chancellor for Research and Enterprise, is a marine scientist whose career spans decades of teaching, research, and leadership in the fields of marine ecology, plankton biology, and coastal resources management.

With a PhD in Marine Biodiversity and Environmental Assessment from the University of Tasmania, Prof. Metillo has not only advanced scientific knowledge but also championed its translation into meaningful community initiatives.

At ACPES 2025 (Oct 1–3), he will share insights on “Bridging Research and Practice: Translating Scientific Discoveries into Community-Based PE and Health Programs.”

The 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 – 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 (𝐓𝐓𝐎-𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐔) attended the final orientation meeting via Zoom/Google Meet for the upcoming Mindanao Technology Transfer Conference 2025, scheduled on September 30 to October 3, 2025, at Caraga State University, Butuan City.

[𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦] KTTO-Technology Transfer and Enterprise Unit (TTEU), August 11-15, 2025, participated in a five-day intensive learning engagement that brought together participants from various Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) franchises across the country aimed to strengthen capacities in unlocking the full value of intellectual assets, facilitating ethical technology transfer, and translating innovation into real-world impact.

It was an output-based training-workshop on IP portfolio assessment, technology readiness level, and IP evaluation for the Mindanao-based ITSOs.
