Students who intend to run for an elective position are encouraged to carefully review the qualifications, election guidelines, and timeline before submitting their Certificate of Candidacy.

โ€ข Not be eligible for graduation as of January following the election;
โ€ข Have no pending disciplinary case before the Student Disciplinary Board where the potential penalty is a suspension of at least seven (7) days; and
โ€ข Be a DTTE student who satisfies all the qualifications stated above.

Every donation, shared announcement, and volunteer effort plays a vital role in supporting affected families as they rebuild their lives, particularly following the recent fire incident in Zone 10, Barangay Poblacion, Iligan City, which resulted in the extensive destruction of commercial stalls and severe livelihood disruption for local vendors. In response to this crisis, the CED Societies, the College of Computer Studies (CCS) Student Council, and the Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology Information Systems Society (MISSC) are conducting a joint relief operation today, August 29, 2026, to distribute food assistance and provide immediate support to the impacted community.

In the early morning hours of Sunday, August 23, 2026, a devastating fire broke out at the Wet Market in Barangay Poblacion, Iligan City (starting behind the old Gaisano building). The blaze rapidly consumed numerous stalls, destroying the livelihoods of local vendors and leaving many families without a source of income overnight.

As compassionate leaders and community members, the Department Organizations under the College of Education are rallying together to extend a helping hand. We are launching a unified Donation Drive to assist the affected stallholders and families during this critical time.
