SANTIAGO CITY – Matagumpay na naisagawa ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Santiago, sa pamamagitan ng Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), ang libreng Occupational Therapy at Assessment para sa mga neurodivergent na bata sa lungsod.

Isinagawa ang programa sa Beyond Colors–Santiago Pediatric Assessment and Therapy Center na naglalayong mabigyan ng maagang pagsusuri at angkop na occupational therapy ang mga batang may espesyal na pangangailangan upang higit na mapaunlad ang kanilang kakayahan, kalayaan sa pang-araw-araw na gawain.

Binigyang prayoridad sa libreng assessment ang mga batang wala pang formal diagnosis, kabilang ang mga kapus-palad na pamilya, at ang mga hindi pa nakatatanggap ng anumang therapy.

Patuloy namang isinusulong ng lokal na pamahalaan, ang pagbibigay ng dekalidad, abot-kaya, at inklusibong serbisyong pangkalusugan para sa mga batang may espesyal na pangangailangan.

Nakatakda ring palawakin ng lungsod ang mga rehabilitation services sa pamamagitan ng pagdaragdag ng speech therapy, developmental assessment, at iba pang programang makatutulong sa mas marami pang batang nangangailangan ng espesyal na pangangalaga.
