Parents and Learners' Orientation on the Opening Block of the Third Term Calendar
Isabela Sports Senior High School
On the opening day of the Third Term Calendar, Isabela Sports Senior High School successfully conducted a Parents and Learners' Orientation to provide important information, updates, and guidelines for the upcoming academic term. The activity was attended by parents, guardians, learners, faculty members, and school administrators, demonstrating the strong partnership between the school and the stakeholders in promoting quality education.
The program commenced with an opening prayer followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The School Head Sir Aries A. Calamayan warmly welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of collaboration among the school, parents, and learners in achieving academic excellence and holistic development. The orientation aimed to familiarize stakeholders with the school's programs, policies, schedules, and expectations for the third term.
During the orientation, the academic calendar for the third term was presented by Dr. Benjielyne E. Pagulayan- Master Teacher II and the Hiigh School Senior Focal Person, highlighting significant dates, school activities, assessment schedules, and important deadlines.
Maam Felomena L. Laureta the Guidance Career Advocate discussed classroom expectations, attendance policies, grading systems, and learner responsibilities. Emphasis was also given to maintaining discipline, demonstrating respect, and upholding the values and standards of the institution. The school's guidance and support services were likewise introduced to ensure that learners are aware of the resources available to assist them academically, socially, and emotionally.
The importance of Learners Information System (LIS) were presented also by Maam Michelle Ann A. Aggarao the LIS Coordinator.
Furthermore, updates regarding school programs, sports-related activities, and extracurricular engagements were discussed to help learners balance their academic responsibilities and athletic commitments. Health and safety protocols, including school rules and emergency procedures, were also reviewed to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
An open forum followed, allowing parents and learners to raise concerns, seek clarifications, and provide feedback. The school administration and faculty members addressed the questions raised and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the learners throughout the term.
The orientation concluded with a message of gratitude from the school administration, thanking the parents and learners for their participation and cooperation. The activity successfully strengthened the partnership between the school and the community while preparing learners for a productive, meaningful, and successful third term.
