C3ES SELG Officers Join City-Wide "Project ALERT" Life Support Training
​CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela — Student leaders from Cabeceria 3 Elementary School, led by the officers of the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG), actively participated in the "Project ALERT: Agile Learners Emergency Response Team" Mass Training on Basic Life Support for Learners and Personnel held on September 2, 2026, at the City of Ilagan Community Center in Centro-Poblacion.
​The initiative—a joint program organized by the Schools Division of the City of Ilagan and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO)—aimed to equip young learners and school personnel with life-saving skills, emergency preparedness techniques, and first-aid response procedures.
​During the interactive sessions, the student leaders acquired hands-on experience in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED) usage, bandaging, and quick-response protocols designed for school-based emergency scenarios. Disaster management instructors emphasized the vital role of youthful responders in building disaster-resilient school environments and acting as first responders in times of crisis.
​By completing the training program, the C3ES SELG officers are empowered as pioneer members of the school’s emergency response initiative. Moving forward, the young student leaders plan to roll out peer-to-peer safety awareness activities and share basic life-support knowledge with their fellow classmates, fostering a culture of safety, readiness, and service within the school community.
