Dr. Tarol began losing her hearing at age 35 due to an allergy; over time, she developed a profound bilateral hearing loss (late-deafened). Despite this, she continued teaching - and re-oriented her career toward special education.

Through her research and teaching methods, she contributed practical, replicable solutions (like BMI) that improve learning and inclusion.

She stands as a living example of resilience, empathy, and dedication someone who turned personal challenge into advocacy and service.
