The Parent-Teacher Conference and General Assembly was successfully held on September 18, 2026, at Maximo T. Hernandez Memorial Integrated High School.

The gathering brought together parents, teachers, school personnel, and stakeholders to discuss important matters concerning our learners’ academic performance, behavior, attendance, safety, and overall development.

More than just a school meeting, the activity served as a meaningful avenue for open communication, shared understanding, and stronger collaboration between the school and the home. Parents and teachers had the opportunity to share concerns, discuss school matters, and explore ways to better support every learner.

CB-NCAE PRETEST 2026 | MTHMIHS

Maximo T. Hernandez Memorial Integrated High School successfully conducted the Computer-Based National Career Assessment Examination (CB-NCAE) Pretest on September 18, 2026, serving as a testing center for learners in the Division of Batangas.

Four batches were administered as scheduled, with 27 functional devices utilized—4 desktop computers and 23 laptops. Through the cooperation and commitment of the school administration, testing personnel, teachers, and learners, the activity was carried out smoothly despite a few minor and manageable technical concerns.

The testing team ensured a conducive, safe, clean, and organized environment, with proper ventilation, lighting, workstation arrangement, signage, and safety measures throughout the administration.

The successful conduct of the pretest reflects the school's continued commitment to supporting learners through technology-enabled assessment and career guidance activities.

INSET 2026 – Day 2 | Sharing Best Practices in Reading

Reading intervention becomes more meaningful when teachers share, learn, and grow together. 💙📚

The In-Service Training (INSET) Day 2 of Maximo T. Hernandez Memorial Integrated High School provided a meaningful avenue for teachers to share classroom-based reading intervention strategies, reflect on their experiences, and learn from one another’s best practices.

The session, facilitated by Mr. Raymond A. Rogel, highlighted the power of collaboration, reflection, and sharing in strengthening reading instruction. It reminded everyone that effective intervention does not always require complicated approaches; it begins with understanding learners and providing meaningful opportunities for them to read, practice, participate, and grow. 🌱📚

As the activity concluded, teachers renewed their commitment to apply, adapt, and continuously strengthen reading practices toward improved learner outcomes. 💙

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 135, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 10, 2026, in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and the cumulative effects of prolonged rainfall:

📍 Pangasinan
📍 Benguet
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Pampanga
📍 Zambales
📍 Batangas
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.
