Despite the current circumstances surrounding the Science-Based Education Building (SBEB) and the College of Teacher Education (CTE) Building, the CTEโStudent Body Organization (SBO) successfully carried out the Handog Panalangin program, bringing together students and members of various organizations in a collective expression of faith and support for the upcoming Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).
The program, themed โTinig ng Pananalig, Gabay sa Landas ng Pangarap,โ served as a solemn gathering of prayer, encouragement, and hope for the aspiring professional teachers who are set to take the examination this September, 2026. Although the examinees were not physically present during the gathering, the prayers offered carried their names, aspirations, and dreams as they faced one of the defining milestones of their journey toward the teaching profession.
Opening the program, President Gabrielle Isabel F. Del Rosario delivered the Welcome Message, setting the tone for an afternoon centered on faith, perseverance, and collective support. Her message reminded the community of the importance of standing together for those who are about to take a significant step toward their professional calling.
Adding depth to the gathering, Dr. Rey Dalusong, BEED Program Chairperson, shared wisdom drawn from the Bible, highlighting Proverbs 3:5โ6:
โTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.โ
More than words of encouragement, the verse became a reminder that the journey toward success is not carried by preparation alone. Beyond knowledge, strategies, and plans lies the importance of placing one's trust in Godโthe source of strength, wisdom, and direction.
To further nurture the spirit of the gathering, the Ramonian Varsity Christian Fellowship (RVCF) led the participants in worship songs, creating a moment of reflection and strengthening the faith that anchored the program.
As the ceremony drew to its conclusion, Dr. Zenvi Ann Macalinao, College Dean, led the closing prayer for the LEPT takers. Though separated by distance, the examinees remained at the heart of the gathering as the CTE community prayed for wisdom, courage, peace, and strength to accompany them throughout the examination.
The students were then asked to light their candles as the prayer began. In the gentle glow of the flames, the moment became more than a ceremonial gestureโit became a symbol of hope carried on behalf of those who were not physically present. As Dr. Macalinao spoke from the heart, the solemnity of the prayer moved the gathered students.
Handog Panalangin was more than a send-off. It was a collective offering of faith for the future educators who continue to pursue their calling despite the challenges along the way. Their physical absence did not diminish their presence in the prayers; instead, it reminded everyone that distance cannot separate a community united by hope and purpose.
As the LEPT takers take this significant step toward their dreams, may they carry with them the words, prayers, and faith offered by their CTE family. For every lesson they have learned, every challenge they have overcome, and every dream they continue to pursue, may they remember that they do not walk the path alone.
With faith as their foundation and God as their guide, may every step lead them closer to the calling they have prayed for.
