Bachelor of Secondary Education- Mathematics Major 3rd Year from the College of Teacher Education in Iba Campus created this short video to voice out humanity’s wish for mother nature’s restoration to its raw state where air was pure, bodies of water and land formations not marred by pollution and destruction. The videos narration was a spoken poetry which sounded a long emotional sigh invoking nostalgic visions of what paradise our present earth may be turned into if only humans take proper care and not destroy it by irresponsible resource use and improper waste management.

Is the youth’s protest and commitment expressed in a poem, a call for awakening to the current plight and plea of the fishers and farmers to save of their homeland, their livelihood, and lives from the onslaught of the ill-effects of a harbor being built in their area, the mining operations in their town, and the irresponsible destructive acts of humans at large. The video by the Bachelor of Secondary Education (Mathematics and Filipino) 3rd Year students from the Santa Campus echoes the almost desperate call of the youth to secure nature for their future.
Third Place:
PRMSU Earth Day

Interspersed in the collage of the many scenes from various documentaries of this beautiful planet are humble acts of all the members of an NSTP class in our University. What makes this silent video powerful is its Earth Day message that our planet today is a product of humanity’s own doing. That Earth Day is held to bring humans to awareness that nature creates and provides, humans build and destroy to make our home of this planet and that to undo the damage that humanity caused on this planet calls for policy changes and a shift of humans’ daily habits. “Consume with care” “Use water wisely” “Plant more” “Keep the environment clean” “Start with your own home”
The participants in the production of the above winning videos will each be given a certificate of participation and another a recognition for the place garnered by their work.
