𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗶𝗻 ‘𝗧𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻’ 𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 16 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘀

Candidates vying for seats in the College of Teacher Education-Student Body Organization (CTE-SBO) are set to face the student body in “Tapatan” on July 15, a day before the 2026 elections, following the release of a revised electoral calendar.

Serving as a crucial pre-election platform, Tapatan will allow candidates to present their positions, defend their plans, and answer questions on issues concerning CTE students as voters weigh their choices ahead of election day.

Under CTE COMELEC Resolution No. 1, s. 2026, the campaign period is scheduled for July 14, followed by Tapatan on July 15.

Moreover, campaigning will remain allowed until 11:59 p.m. on the same day, while election Day is set for July 16.

CTE Commission on Elections urged all candidates, political parties, and students to take note of the revised schedule and comply with election guidelines to help ensure a fair, orderly, and credible electoral process.

With only a day separating Tapatan from the polls, the face-off could serve as the candidates’ final major opportunity to make their case before CTE students cast their votes.
