The team of Early Explorer: A School Enrichment Program organized by IFSU-Lagawe Campus in partnership with the Hungduan PNP and Hungduan BFP visited Baang Elementary School for the second quarter on April 12, 2024.
Ms. Margarita Nakake, project leader, IFSU representative and resource speaker gave a lecture on proper hygiene. She stressed on the importance of Basic Hygiene to one's health. She also emphasized on the many benefits of practicing proper hygiene aiming to contribute to the overall health and well-being of the learners and parents.
FO1 Melody Camhit, representative from the BFP held an informative lecture on water safety. She gave emphasis on safety measures in swimming.
Along with the training, the Hungduan PNP personnel conducted a free voluntary hair cut to the learners. Healthy snacks were also sponsored and served to the learners, parents and teachers
In support with the reading program of the school, the Hungduan MPS, Hungduan BFP, Brgy. Officials and PTA officers volunteered as reading tutors. A 40 minute reading activities was conducted to the kindergarten, grade 1 and grade 2 learners.
The culminating activity of the program includes a heartwarming turnover of reading books, hydration bottles, umbrellas and chalk.
Ms. Jocelyn Bahatan, the School Head highlighted the timely provision of books for the school in support to the reading program.
She further stressed that the provision of drinking bottles and umbrellas helped the parents as well financially.
Moreover, Ms. Jocelyn Bahatan extended her heartfelt gratitude to all the donors, organizers and partner agencies for their generous contribution to Baang Elementary School.
