Are you ready to sharpen your skills and get a head start on the next school year? Pahilanga National High School is excited to invite you to the Summer Remediation Program 2026: Advancing Reading and Arithmetic Learning.

This program is specially designed to bridge learning gaps and strengthen your foundational competencies in both literacy and numeracy. Through engaging activities like reading drills, vocabulary development, and math games, we aim to build your confidence and ensure you are academically prepared for your next grade level.

The program will run for four weeks throughout May until June 2, 2026, held every Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, right here in our school classrooms and every Friday, learners will be given a home learning activity. Whether you are a Junior or Senior High School student, you will have the opportunity to participate in guided reading sessions, practice practical computation, and join in on fun team-building games. We have a dedicated team of teachers and facilitators ready to support your progress every step of the way. We believe that with your consistent participation, you will see a significant improvement in your reading fluency and problem-solving performance.

Listed as ARAL learners are encouraged to attend and secure a spot and prepare for a summer of growth, excellence, and readiness for School Year 2026–2027.

The Hinugyaw Folk Dancers, a joint team from Pahilanga National High School (PNHS) and Hinigaran Institute, Inc., clinched 4th place in the Rural Category of the folk dance competition during the 30th Panaad sa Negros on April 17, 2026, at the National University-Bacolod.

Performing their dynamic piece "Pas-an Saging," the group showcased the vibrant cultural heritage of Negros Occidental amid fierce competition from other rural contingents.

Choreographed by John Mark Alpay and Catherine Camay, the performance was coordinated by Mrs. Razielly Federico and Joseph Navarres as co-coordinator, with assistance from Elpha Apuhin and Ma. Jennyben Gallano.

The achievement drew praise from local leaders, including Hinigaran Mayor Mary Grace Arceo and Tourism Officer/Panaad Coordinator Tracy Mar Vasquez. Gratitude was also extended to the Barangay Miranda council, Hinigaran Institute Principal Dinah D. Gatilago, Board of Trustees member Girlie Guanco-Suarez, and Meljorie C. Muyco, PhD, school head of PNHS highlighted the successful collaboration.

"This milestone reflects the dedication of our students, staff, and partners in promoting Negrense culture," a PNHS representative said in a statement.

The 30th Panaad sa Negros, a flagship festival celebrating unity and progress, featured various cultural events to preserve provincial traditions.

PAHILANGA, Hinigaran – March 21, 2026 – Pahilanga National High School on Saturday expressed profound gratitude to PTA officers, barangay and municipal officials, sponsors, parents, guardians, learners, and teachers for the successful staging of its High School Day 2026, which drew excellent participation and underscored collaborative education efforts.

The event showcased the spirit of collaboration, featuring engaging activities that fostered student leadership, cultural pride, and academic excellence like Laro ng Lahi, Conoration of PNHS King and Queen, PNHS Variety Show and Search for Supermom 2026.

PNHS extends its deepest gratitude to the key supporters who made the day a resounding success. Special thanks go to the PTA officers, led by Mrs. Elsie Joy Dagbusan, for their unwavering dedication. Barangay Miranda officials, headed by Hon. John Derek Geolingo, provided invaluable local support. The Teachers League members, under the leadership of Sir Jimmy Apuhin and with the expert facilitation of Sir Avelino Omiten, ensured seamless coordination, and to everyone who supported the event in any manner.

The faculty and staff of PNHS, led by Principal Meljorie C. Muyco, PhD, Principal II, played a pivotal role in driving the event forward. "This collaborative initiative was truly fulfilling and saw excellent participation from all concerned parties," said Meljorie C. Muyco, PhD, Principal II. Pahilanga National High School Grade 12 Cookery students achieved a 100% passing rate in the National Competency Assessment for Cookery NC II. The event took place on March 4, 2026, at GGG Skill Training Center, Inc., in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental. Ma’am Rosel Mahilum led the group to success.

TESDA-accredited evaluators tested skills in food preparation, kitchen safety, and sanitation. Students excelled through hands-on demonstrations. School officials hailed the milestone as proof of strong TVL training.

Pahilanga National High School's 38 Grade 12 Agricultural Crops Production students posted a perfect 100% passing rate in the National Competency Assessment for Agricultural Crops Production NC II. The TESDA evaluation ran February 18-19 at Buro-buro Spring Farm Resort Training Center, Brgy. Alangilan, Bacolod City.

Under adviser Mr. Cezar V. Moyong, the students demonstrated mastery in crop propagation, pest management, and harvesting. "Their dedication and practical skills shone through," Moyong said.

This milestone strengthens Pahilanga NHS's TVL program and equips graduates for agribusiness jobs. School head lauded the achievement as a model for vocational excellence.
