In celebration of National Indigenous People's Month 2024 and Museums and Galleries Month 2024, Namulditan Senior High School's TVL-"Mun-abol" students participated in a two-day Seminar-Workshop from October 29-30, 2024 on "Reliving Ethnochemistry through Organic Dye Production from Locally Available Materials."

The event aimed to reintroduce the indigenous art of Binodbodan weaving and traditional dyeing techniques using organic materials to the Mun-abol students.

"This seminar-workshop empowers the younger generation to appreciate and preserve the indigenous process of dyeing Binodbodan using organic materials, ensuring the continuation of our traditions," said Ma'am Leticia L. Lagayan, IO III.

Resource speakers Mrs. Amie B. Baguidudol and Mrs. Rachel A. Cappuyo shared their expertise, while staff from the National Museum of the Philippines, Kiangan, Ifugao - Ma'am Leticia L. Lagayan, Ma'am Felyn April Buyayo, and Ma'am Cezyle Joy Kindipan - provided valuable insights.

Through hands-on activities and return demos, students extracted natural dyes from locally sourced materials, showcasing their improved skills.

The event highlighted sustainable practices and cultural preservation, aligning with the Department of Education's emphasis on indigenous knowledge and environmental stewardship.
