July 12, 2016 stands as a testament to Filipino resolve. The Arbitral Award confirmed what we already know: the Philippines has every right to protect our seas, peacefully and lawfully, under UNCLOS, with facts and firm principles. It safeguards our fisherfolk, our coasts, and one of the richest marine treasures on Earth. It reminds us that sovereignty means full plates at home and brighter futures for every Filipino family. Ten years later, the call remains: stand on principle, act within the law, and uphold a rules-based order that serves all nations, especially ours.
