To-oy Elementary School proudly celebrates its Peace Advocacy Program held on August 17, 2026, featuring a meaningful Bully-Free Pledge and the inspiring creative dance performance “KAPAYAPAAN.”

Through the powerful message of PEACE—Powering Empathy, Acceptance, and Connection Every Day, our learners remind us that peace begins with kindness, respect, understanding, and the courage to stand against bullying.

The “KAPAYAPAAN” Creative Dance Performance was spearheaded by our dedicated Grade V Advisers, Ma’am Lency Y. Prava and Sir Frietz John V. Saril, together with their two Grade V classes, who transformed movement into a beautiful expression of unity, harmony, and hope.

Let us choose kindness. Let us speak peace. Let us live peace. Let us be the reason someone feels safe, valued, and included.

👕 GINATUGUTAN: Magpanapton sang malimpyo, matinlo, desente kag presentable nga bayo.

Josefa Llanes Escoda
Josefa Llanes Escoda was born on September 20, 1898, in the Philippines. She was a Filipino civic leader, social worker, and advocate for women’s suffrage. She also founded the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, helping young girls develop leadership, discipline, patriotism, and a spirit of service.

During World War II, when Japan occupied the Philippines, Josefa and her husband, Antonio Escoda, helped Filipino prisoners and American internees by secretly delivering food, medicine, clothing, and messages.

Because of their resistance activities, they were captured and imprisoned by the Japanese. Josefa was last seen alive on January 6, 1945, and is remembered as a heroine and martyr for her courage, service, and sacrifice for the Filipino people.
