The Campus Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Coordinator (CDRRMC) of West Visayas State University–Himamaylan City Campus, Mr. Joean A. Geresola, Coordinator, Campus Disaster Risk Management Office (CDRMO) together with Ms. Stella Recaido, Coordinator, Public Affairs and Linkages Office (PALO) conducted a benchmarking activity on basic safety protocols at the Visayan Maritime Academy (VMA) on February 3, 2026.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Ms. Ellister Niña Salabas-Ligna, MBA, Vice President for the Maritime Training Center of VMA. The visit provided an opportunity to observe and exchange best practices in institutional safety management, emergency preparedness, and protocol implementation.

This initiative reflects WVSU–Himamaylan City Campus’ continuing commitment to strengthening campus safety systems and fostering partnerships that promote a culture of preparedness, resilience, and shared responsibility.
