HIMAMAYLAN CITY, August 17, 2026 – The Schools Division Office of Himamaylan City, in partnership with West Visayas State University – Himamaylan, successfully conducted the MOA Signing, Orientation of Stakeholders, and Project Launching of Project MATHATAG: Empowering Educators in Himamaylan City to Transform Math Learning Through the Singapore Math Block Model Approach at the SDO Conference Hall.

The activity marked a significant milestone in strengthening mathematics education by equipping educators with innovative and effective approaches to teaching and learning. Through the Singapore Math Block Model Approach, Project MATHATAG seeks to enhance teachers' instructional practices and help learners develop deeper mathematical understanding through concrete, pictorial, and abstract learning experiences.

The MOA Signing formally strengthened the partnership between the Schools Division Office of Himamaylan City and West Visayas State University – Himamaylan, while the orientation provided stakeholders with a clearer understanding of the project's objectives, implementation, and shared responsibilities.

HIMAMAYLAN CITY, August 10, 2026 – The Schools Division Office of Himamaylan City, through the Curriculum Implementation Division – Learning Resource Management Section (CID-LRMS), successfully conducted the Orientation-Workshop on the Implementation of the Learning Resource Management Information System (LRMIS) at the SDO Himamaylan City Conference Hall.

The activity served as a preparatory initiative to ensure the readiness of all public elementary and secondary schools for the national implementation and phased rollout of LRMISβ€”a unified digital platform designed to support the registration, management, monitoring, and utilization of learning resources. Participants were oriented on the system's features, functionalities, and significance in strengthening technology-enabled and evidence-based learning resource management.

A key focus of the workshop was equipping schools with the necessary knowledge and skills to register, navigate, and utilize the LRMIS, while establishing streamlined communication and reporting protocols for the inventory of learning resources. The initiative also promotes accurate, unified, and data-driven management of learning resources across the Division.

HIMAMAYLAN CITY, August 4, 2026 – The Schools Division Office of Himamaylan City extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Local Government Unit of Himamaylan City, under the leadership of Mayor Raymund I. Tongson Jr., for generously granting the Division's request for essential utensils in support of the Hapag Asa Feeding Program.

The donated items include 4 calderos, 300 plates, and 390 cups, which will help strengthen the implementation of the feeding program and ensure that beneficiaries receive meals in a safe and organized manner.

The Division likewise expresses its sincere appreciation to Mr. Wendel John "Boyen" Vallejera and Ms. Mary Jane Faduga for their invaluable efforts in facilitating the request and coordinating the provision of these much-needed resources.

Facilitated by SEPS Mark Lloyd M. Coloma and EPS II Francis Drake Tamba under the supervision of Chief Education Supervisor Marilyn N. Galvez, the activity featured the orientation on the NEAP Guidelines on the Conduct of Professional Development (PD) Programs at the School Level, the introduction of the Division Contextualized Professional Development Needs Assessment for Teaching Personnel (DCPNAT), and the official launch of e-SPARTA 2.0, the Division's enhanced Professional Development System.

A key highlight of the activity was the presentation of DCPNAT and e-SPARTA 2.0 as integrated multi-toolkits designed to streamline the entire professional development cycle. Sergio Millarez, providing an opportunity for the SDO Himamaylan family to pause, reflect, and give thanks for the blessings and accomplishments of the Division. The celebration also marked the First Anniversary of OIC Schools Division Superintendent Ma’am Lynee A. PeΓ±aflor and OIC Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Sir Eiggy D.
