BSP -GSP Investiture and Encampment 2026

Congratulations and job well done to all our Scout leaders for successfully conducting our school BSP/GSP Encampment. Your dedication and hard work made this event truly meaningful and memorable for our learners.

It has always been our goal to provide experiences that help our learners grow happier, wiser, and more responsible through the values and adventures of Scouting. Through our teamwork, cooperation, and commitment, we made this activity a success—one that truly deserves our salute.

My heartfelt gratitude goes to our PSDS, Ma'am Jennifer Vasquez, for her unwavering support. I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to my ever-reliable colleagues and friends, Sir Jilson Vallejera - ALT, Sir Jornel Lorca - WBH, Sir Joven Agudelo – WBH, Maritess T. Excerpt from the Negros Yearbook 1938

“Don Serafin studied in the “Instituto de Don Manuel Locsin” in Molo, Iloilo and later in the “Instituto de Don Pedro Perez” in Jaro. He stayed in Iloilo until he had finished the highest courses the schools there could offer, after which he returned to Negros to help his parents in the pursuit of agriculture. It was then that love crossed his path when he met the lovely Julita Monton of Himamaylan, whom he married in 1897.

After the American regime became firmly established in Negros, Don Serafin, was elected Himamaylan’s first president (Mayor). In the performance of his duties as Municipal President, Don Serafin won the respect and admiration of his people and of the foreigners.

Don Serafin is the successful father of the following children: Governor Valeriano Gatuslao; Mayor Agustin Gatuslao; Don Miguel Gatuslao; and Don Jose Hernando Gatuslao. Don Serafin is one of the men who helped to build Negros Occidental to what she is today, the premier province of the Philippines.”

DSGMS World Children's Day Celebration was held to promote global awareness, unity, and cultural appreciation among children. The event aimed to introduce young learners to the values of peace, cooperation, and opportunities for children to showcase their talents in arts, performances, and public speaking.
The highlight of the celebration was the coronation of King Jilliam Isaac F. Pancho and Queen Alysha Marie B. Ramos with the members of the royal court.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the parents, learners, guests, teachers and school head for the invaluable support in making our recent World Children's Day a resounding success.
