The activity brought together the heads of the different Student Affairs and Services units to discuss strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing student welfare and promoting institutional excellence.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the various units under the Office of Student Affairs and Student Affairs and Services (SAS), including the Medical-Dental Clinic, University Guidance Services, Scholarship Unit, Sports and Athletics Office, Dance and Cultural Affairs Unit, Campus Student Council (CSC), Student Publication, Library Services, Admission Services, and support staff.
The consultative meeting commenced with the presentation of the proposed updates to the Student Welfare Development Plan, highlighting enhanced programs, services, and implementation strategies under two delivery modalities: face-to-face and remote. The proposed updates were carefully reviewed to ensure that student services remain relevant, responsive, and aligned with the institution's commitment to quality education and holistic student development.
A significant portion of the meeting focused on the observations and recommendations raised during the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) for each unit under the Office of Student Affairs. The unit heads presented their respective findings, identified areas for improvement, and discussed appropriate corrective actions and quality enhancement measures to strengthen the delivery of student support services.
Preparations for the upcoming IAS Audit and the Level II Accreditation of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) programs were likewise deliberated. Participants discussed the documentary requirements, compliance initiatives, and collaborative efforts needed to ensure the institution's readiness for both evaluations.
The meeting also covered the proposed amendments to existing student affairs policies, providing participants with the opportunity to review current guidelines and recommend revisions that would better address the evolving needs of students while ensuring consistency with institutional policies and quality standards.
โLastly, other important matters concerning student welfare, inter-unit coordination, program implementation, and upcoming activities were discussed. Participants actively shared insights, recommendations, and best practices to further strengthen collaboration among the SAS units.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all participants to continuously improve the quality of student services through collaboration, innovation, and adherence to institutional quality standards. Guided by the meeting's theme, the consultative session reinforced the shared responsibility of every SAS unit in promoting student welfare and advancing institutional excellence.
