PECMNHS joins 1st Quarter Earthquake Drill

March 13, 2025 – Pedro E. Candido Memorial National High School actively participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), showcasing their commitment to disaster preparedness and student safety. The drill involved students, faculty, and staff practicing crucial earthquake response protocols, including the "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" technique, and evacuation procedures to ensure the safety of the entire school community in the event of a real earthquake.

𝑷𝑬𝑪𝑴𝑵𝑯𝑺 𝑯𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔' 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝑺𝑶𝑰𝑹𝑬𝑬

As part of the World Teachers' Day, Pedro E. Candido Memorial National High School (PECMNHS) held a two-day celebration dubbed the PECMNHS Teachers' Day SOIREE at Calui's Place Resort, Can-avid, on October 5, 2024. The event brought together the school's teaching and non-teaching personnel, including the Learning Support Aides (LSAs), to recognize and celebrate the dedication and hard work of educators.

The celebration was filled with activities that fostered camaraderie and appreciation, with the highlight being an evening of singing and dancing, where participants enjoyed performances and light-hearted fun. The event provided an opportunity for the school personnel to unwind and bond, further strengthening their sense of community.

Dr. Paulina Duran, Principal I, delivered an inspiring message, emphasizing the importance of unity, cooperation, and commitment among the staff. She highlighted that these values are essential in helping the school continue to excel and in enabling the educators to be the best they can be in their roles. Dr. Duran also praised the efforts of the teachers and staff, acknowledging their pivotal role in shaping students' futures.

The PECMNHS Teachers' Day SOIREE aimed not only to celebrate the invaluable contributions of educators but also to create a space for reflection, appreciation, and mutual support among the school personnel. It served as a reminder of the vital impact teachers have on the school community and beyond.
