It is with deep sorrow that the Hermosa National High School family mourns the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Ma’am Maria Teresa Maberit Castro, Guidance Counselor I, who passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
Ma’am Tess dedicated many years of her life to serving the learners and community of Hermosa National High School. She began her journey in the school as a Contractual Teacher I from January 3, 2007 to July 1, 2009, and continued her service as a regular permanent Guidance Counselor I beginning June 15, 2010.
Throughout her years of service, Ma’am Tess was more than a guidance counselor. She was a listening ear, a source of comfort, and a caring presence to learners who needed someone to understand and guide them. Her compassion, patience, and genuine concern for others will forever be remembered by the many lives she touched.
As we bid farewell to a cherished member of our school, we extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to her family, loved ones, friends, colleagues, and all who mourn her passing. May the memories of her kindness and the meaningful years she shared with us bring comfort during this difficult time.
Thank you, Ma’am Tess, for your years of dedicated service.
Rest peacefully, Ma’am Maria Teresa Maberit Castro. 🕊️
Forever remembered. Forever part of the Hermosa National High School family.
