This institution of learning has been serving the youth from the following barangays; San Jose, San Nicolas, Sagrada Familia, Sta. The sources of enrollment of this school are the fourteen elementary schools in the West District of Hagonoy. The establishment of this High School way back in 1954 and its vital service to the community up to the present gives hope to the poorest of the poor to pursue less expensive education. The policy of the present administration on Education for all people empowerment is within the vision of the administration of Mayor Ramona S. The school community is very optimistic to serve more students in the near future. The concerted efforts of the administration, the mentors and the Parents-Teachers Association is continuously aiming at the total intellectual, moral, physical and spiritual development of the students, knowing that education is undoubtedly a vital factor in achieving progressive life for the people. ENVIRONMENT

Mayor Ramona S. Trillana High School is in the very heart of the southern portion of Hagonoy. Most of the barangay folks are fishermen dreaming to acquire higher education. Few kilometers away from the sea through the Labangan Channel, the people inhabiting the place try to employ modern way of fishing. SPECIAL FEATURES

With the belief that education is endless for the living, most of the teachers are studying to attain professional advancement. Not less than twenty of them are working hard for their Master of Arts with different Majors. Some of them are even planning to obtain Doctoral Degree. SPECIAL FACILITIES

COMMUNITY LINKAGES

Adhering to the principle that no man is an island, the administration, the faculty, the different school organization and the studentry as a whole is aware of the community outside the school is indispensable in the conducive existence of Mayor Ramona S. Our program of cleanliness through Operation Linis had been successfully done with the cooperation of the nearby barangay involving the residents in cooperation with the Parent-Teacher Association. The program aiming at preventing the spread of drug addiction has been attained in the community with the assistance of the school community officials of this school in general and the Sangguniang Barangay spearheaded by the Honorable Municipal Mayor of Hagonoy Felix V. Also successful is the Crime Watch with the collective efforts of the school administration, the community officials and the National Police. With the harmonious relationship of the school with the community, more progress is expected in the near future. HISTORICAL HIGHLIGHTS


As a teacher, Mrs. Trillana then, was of the belief that education is indispensable for the progress of the community. Following this principle, she established Ramona S. Trillana High School ( Formerly Southern Institute ) way back in 1954. This institution served the community as a private high school from 1954 to 1989. Ever since, Ex-Mayor Ramona S. Trillana was of the desire to help the needy. In order to maximize the assistance, she donated the school, Southern Institute to the government in 1989. Such turnover, through donation, materialized after a conference with the Trillana Family. Governor Roberto Pagdanganan and Mayor Wilhelmino Sy Alvarado in cooperation with former Superintendent Mr. Bienvenido Yap are instrumental to the said turnover of the school to the government in June 05, 1989. The renaming of the school took place on a sunny day of September 29, 1993. It was in honor of its founder, Ex-Mayor Ramona S. As a sign of good future, a 2 storey building has been erected on the site of the school. Such building is donated through the initiative of Hon. Blas F. Now the school is in its 50th years of operation. It has a population of two thousand three hundred eighty four students from the nearby barangay. Our institution excelled in several competitions such as press conference and cheering squad competition. Our school has been awarded as TRV School in grateful recognition of its cooperative effort to maintain cordial and harmonious relations among school personnel, parents and community.
