โThe Supreme Student Council (SSC) of Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) Gumaca Campus formally conducted its Turnover Ceremony for Academic Year 2026โ2027 on July 28, 2026, at the Library Extension, Villa Nava Campus. The event marked the official transition of leadership while recognizing the dedication, commitment, and service of the outgoing student leaders and welcoming the newly elected officers.

โThe SLSU community extends its heartfelt appreciation to outgoing SSC Governor Iris M. Climacusa for her exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to serving the student body. Her legacy of service has made a lasting impact on the council and continues to inspire future generations of student leaders.

โLeading the new chapter of student governance is newly elected SSC Governor Princess Benelyn C. Recoco, together with the newly elected SSC Officers for Academic Year 2026โ2027. As they assume their respective roles, they are encouraged to lead with integrity, dedication, and a genuine commitment to serving every SLSUyan.

โThe ceremony was graced by the presence of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), represented by its Chairperson, Ms. Charibel Ibalan, together with their Adviser, aProf. Krish Bernadette Palay; Campus Director Dr. Imelda A. Tangalin, who administered the Oath of Office; and SSC Adviser Inst. Harlene L. Dimailig, whose guidance and support continue to strengthen student leadership. The incumbent SSC officers also attended the ceremony in recognition of their invaluable contributions throughout the past academic year.

โAs the council reflected on the accomplishments and milestones of the outgoing administration, it also looked ahead with optimism and determination toward the opportunities awaiting the new set of leaders. Although unable to attend due to prior commitments, outgoing SSC Senator Esmeralda O. Daรฑo expressed her continued support for the council. The SSC also extends its sincere appreciation to Master of Ceremonies Raymark Barrios for facilitating the program with professionalism and enthusiasm.

โAs one chapter closes and another begins, the Supreme Student Council remains committed to upholding its mission of serving the studentry with unity, excellence, and purpose. May this new generation of student leaders continue to honor the legacy of those who came before them while shaping a brighter future for every SLSUyan
