Decades after the birth of a hero, the spirit he ignited continues to burn with patriotism and an enduring legacy as second-year students from the BSBA, BSAIS, BSE, BSIT, and BSN programs gathered on April 13, 2026, at Teatro Makandog to honor José Rizal through history, art, and expressions of devotion to the Filipino nation.

Course Instructor Jenqui Cabides-Desoloc opened the program by reminding students that studying the life and works of Rizal is not merely learning history but discovering courage, purpose, and the power of a life lived with meaning, encouraging them to use their talents, knowledge, and compassion to serve others and the nation, while Jansen Alfred Macasa Lomero concluded the event by emphasizing that Rizal’s legacy continues through the youth, urging students to carry forward the values of patriotism, truth, education, and love for the Filipino people in their daily lives.

The event was further highlighted by the remarkable performances of the participating students and the presence of honorable judges and distinguished guests, making the celebration a memorable tribute to Rizal’s enduring legacy.

Held at Teatro Makandog, ESSU Guiuan on March 25, 2026, the event showcased the students’ talents, passion, and appreciation for the performing arts—turning the stage into a vibrant expression of culture and creativity.

BS Entrepreneurship II just wrapped up a resounding successful Educational Tour at Balay ni Tatay, Babatngon, Leyte for their Agribusiness subject. Picture this: bright-eyed students diving into real-world agribusiness wonders—exploring sustainable farming techniques, interacting with local producers, and applying classroom theories to actual business scenarios. From crop innovation demos to market linkage strategies, every moment was packed with discovery, laughter, and those "aha!" breakthroughs that make education unforgettable. Who knew learning could be this fun and immersive? 🚀🌱

This triumph wouldn't have been possible without the visionary leadership of Maludesa O. Machica-Pajarilla, our dedicated Program Head of BS Entrep. To broaden academic learning beyond the classroom, the College of Business Management and Accountancy – ESSU Guiuan Campus, particularly the BSAIS 2nd year students and BSBA 4th year students, successfully conducted an Experiential Learning Tour in Cebu City from March 10 - 12, 2026, providing students with valuable firsthand exposure to real-world accounting and business operations.

During the three-day activity, students visited different companies and interacted with industry professionals to better understand how accounting processes, information systems, and business management are applied in actual workplaces. The tour allowed them to observe how organizations in the financial and manufacturing sectors manage operations, make business decisions, and use accounting information in planning and evaluating performance.

The experiential learning activity aimed to strengthen students’ knowledge by connecting classroom lessons with real business practices, preparing them for their future careers in the business administration and accounting field. The group was accompanied by their respective Program Heads and Faculty members.
