The 1st Year BTVTEd- Animal Production students successfully conducted their seminar-workshop entitled “Sustainable Swine Production Management: Local Perspectives and Practical Applications” today, May 6, 2026, via Zoom Conferencing.
The event began with an opening prayer led by Shaina C. Bonaobra, followed by Ms. Katrina Jhane L. Bebis who delivered the opening message, highlighting the seminar's goal of bridging the gap between textbook theories and the actual local farming challenges within the Bicol region.
Following the introductions by Rochell S. Dasalla, the esteemed resource speaker, Mr. Brian Albert P. Barba, led an intensive session on the technicalities of swine management. His discussion provided "real-world" insights into breeding, feeding, biosecurity, and waste management, emphasizing the economic viability of hog raising for future agricultural educators.
The program remained highly interactive, concluding with a Q&A/Open Forum moderated by Katrina Jhane. This segment allowed the participants to sharpen their technical authority and professional confidence as they prepared to serve as subject-matter experts in Agri-Fishery Arts. The event concluded with the awarding of certificates and closing remarks from the project proponent and subject in-charged, Ms. Kary Alexandrine R. Robles.

Overall, the seminar-workshop underscored the importance of sustainable excellence in swine production, empowering students to translate comprehensive content mastery into practical, local solutions for the agricultural community.

The 4th-year Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) students proudly showcased their research studies during the 2026 BU Guinobatan Research and Development (R&D) Forum, held on May 4, 2026, via Zoom Meeting Conference.

The Student Research and Development Forum served as a vibrant platform that demonstrated the university’s strong commitment to academic excellence. For many student-researchers, it marked both the culmination of their academic journey and a significant step toward future research endeavors.

Among the outstanding research presentations, the study titled “𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘺𝘱𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘵𝘴 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘊𝘰𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘌𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘳𝘴: 𝘈𝘯 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺 𝘈𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘜 𝘎𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘯 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴” by Pauline Kaye L. Lucena and Aljon Rey I. Llames, under the guidance of Dr. Mark Harris R. Lim, clinched the Best Paper under Agenda 5: Inclusive Education and Lifelong Learning.

Meanwhile, the study titled “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘪𝘯 𝘐𝘯𝘧𝘭𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘧-𝘌𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘤𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘈𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘜 𝘎𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘯 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴” by Johnrey M. Casimsiman and Ma. Additionally, other notable research presentations under the same agenda included:
