IT'S A WRAP!

Language is often defined by the words we choose, but its most likely expression is found in what we do for others. This was the agenda of the English Club as they gathered at the GNHS Oca Garin Hall this December 15, 2025

With the theme "Read, Reflect, Rise Empowering GNHS Learners Through Literacy". The focus of the lens was not on the club’s logo, but on the transaction itself, the moment a gift leaves one hand and enters another. For the recipients, these packages represented more than just material, they were a form of an essential for a one student providing a brief but necessary reprieve from their daily life on school.

The video of the event captures a vibrant atmosphere. With the staff in their club shirts are seen handing out gaily wrapped packages to smiling recipients.

As the sun set on the event, the empty boxes were a stark contrast to the full hearts of the volunteers. English Club has proven that while English may be their subject of study, kindness is their universal language.

Recap | Books: The Heartbeat of GNHS Learners 📚💡

December 15, The English Club conducted their outreach program for the learners under ARAL Program with a theme” Read, Reflect, Rise: Empowering GNHS Learners Through Literacy.”

The event kicked off with the opening remarks of our English Club Adviser, Mrs. Mitchelle Tabaosares, who emphasized the importance of literacy and introduced our carefully curated learning kits, complete with dictionaries to spark a passion for reading. Our Asst. School Principal II, Sir Alex N. Suerte, graced us with an inspirational message, reminding us that spaces like the Oca Garin Hall are meant for camaraderie and unity - it's where we come together as a community!

The program was filled with engaging activities, including the importance of reading led by Mrs. Christy Talento, Reading Coordinator, fun games, and an intermission that had everyone on their feet. The highlight of the event was the gift-giving ceremony, where our English Club officers together with the English Teachers distributed learning materials and goodies to our beneficiaries.

In her heartfelt message, our English Club President, Kisha Abigail Tuvilla, said, "To our dear recipients, may this English Club gift-giving and outreach program be a reminder that through reading, we find hope (pag-asa); through reflection, we gain wisdom (karunungan) at kaalaman; and through learning, we continue to rise."

In closing, Ma'am Genevieve Garferio, Head Teacher of the English Department, shared that a dictionary is more than just a book of words - it's a tool that shapes our minds and alters the way we think about the world. Let these dictionaries be a gift to inspire curiosity, foster creativity, and unlock new possibilities.

Book Month 2025 Launched

Guimbal National High School officially launched its Book Month Celebration 2025 on November 17 at the Mega Gym, immediately following the morning flag ceremony. The program opened with welcome remarks from the English Club Adviser, Mrs. Mitchelle Tabaosares, followed by Reading Coordinator Mrs. Christy Talento, who emphasized the importance of reading in developing skills and creativity.

Ma’am Genevieve delivered an inspirational message, after which students and teachers raised their favorite books to officially launch the Book Month theme and tagline. The English Club President, Kisha Abigail Tuvilla then led the Pledge of Commitment to Literacy, affirming the school’s dedication to promoting reading.

The English Club showcased a community dance as an intermission number, and Sir Anthony Vens Gayatao presented the lineup of activities for the month. The program concluded with closing remarks from Sir Alex Suerte.

📚 English Club Kicks Off Year with Exciting Plans

On July 22, 2025, the English Club gathered at the English Club Selda for their meeting. Led by Ma'am Tabaosares and club president Kisha Abigail Tuvilla, members engaged in a long discussion about upcoming events and shared ideas with excitement.

With fresh plans and shared enthusiasm, the English Club is ready for a fun and productive year ahead.

On December 13, 2024, the English Club Organization extended joy and learning to the kindergarten pupils of Particion Elementary School, led by their adviser, Ma’am Myra Garancho. With the theme, “𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓓𝓸𝓸𝓻𝔀𝓪𝔂𝓼 𝓽𝓸 𝓕𝓸𝓻𝓰𝓸𝓽𝓽𝓮𝓷 𝓦𝓸𝓻𝓵𝓭𝓼, 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓓𝓲𝓼𝓬𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓻𝔂 𝓽𝓸 𝓕𝓾𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓮 𝓦𝓸𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻𝓼!" the club aimed to ignite curiosity and inspire young minds.

This outreach program, now in its 2nd year, was first initiated by the English Club officers of S.Y. 2023-2024. Continuing their legacy, this year’s officers worked hard to make the event even more meaningful.

The program was made possible through the collective efforts of 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙨 Ma’am Mitchelle Tabaosares, Sir Anthony Vens Gayatao, 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 Ma’am Genevieve Garferio, and the passionate 𝙀𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙨.
