MLTHS Receives Protective Gear Jackets and Lapel Microphones from SDO Guihulngan City

Maximina Lim Tabilon High School (MLTHS) expresses its sincere gratitude to the Schools Division Office of Guihulngan City for the provision of essential resources that strengthen both school safety and classroom instruction.

On September 29, 2026, MLTHS received eight (8) protective gear jackets intended to help protect school personnel who may be exposed to Mt. Kanlaon ashfall and other related volcanic hazards, in line with the Division’s continuing preparedness and response efforts.

The school also received seven (7) centrally procured lapel microphones for its teachers. The lapel microphones form part of the Division’s efforts to provide immediate classroom support and enhance teachers’ instructional delivery and communication.

The 8 protective gear jackets and 7 lapel microphones were claimed by Sir Noel Gaudan on behalf of MLTHS and were subsequently distributed by the School Head, Ma’am Bernadette Gaudan, to the intended teacher-recipients.

These resources are valuable additions to MLTHS, providing teachers with both protective equipment for disaster preparedness and instructional tools to support effective classroom communication.

MLTHS extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Department of Education – Schools Division of Guihulngan City, under the leadership of Schools Division Superintendent Orlando G. Cadano, EdD, CESO V, for its continued support to schools and teachers.

From preparedness and protection to improved classroom communication, every support makes a meaningful difference in strengthening the MLTHS learning community.

Thank you, SDO Guihulngan City, for continuously supporting MLTHS and its teachers!

Safety. Support. Service. Stronger MLTHS!

Ang inyong pagpainit ug pagsuroy-suroy sa mga replicators ug paggiya sa mga bata sa pagtagad sa mga tanom kay nagbunga ra jud.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to our former School Head, Sir Alwin Rodrigo, and our current School Head, Ma’am Bernadette Gaudan, for always there providing valuable technical assistance, guidance, and support to our GPAK Coordinators throughout the implementation of the program. Your leadership and encouragement have helped strengthen our efforts and make this accomplishment possible.

Our deepest thanks to our GPAK replicators, sa way duha2 nga pag-apil sa Maong programa and whose hands-on work and dedication brought our school garden to life.

We are also grateful to the City Agriculture Office, PAO Negros Oriental, and the DepEd Division Office for the technical guidance, support, and assistance extended to our school.

Special appreciation to Ma’am Rosaminda Dupio and Sir Belmark Alvarado for your invaluable guidance and support throughout our GPAK journey. And to sir Allimar Amaat, usa sa in charge sa muhatag og mga seeds from DA Guihulngan para gamiton sa among garden ug sa mga replicators.

To our students, parents, and teachers of MLTHS, thank you for your time, effort, cooperation, and wholehearted participation. Every seed planted, every garden tended, every fishpond cared for, and every challenge overcome has contributed to this achievement.

From our humble school in the First Congressional District of Negros Oriental, we are reminded that when a community works together, something beautiful can grow.

MLTHS Conducts School-Based Press Conference

GUIHULNGAN CITY β€” Maximina Lim Tabilon High School (MLTHS) successfully conducted its School-Based Press Conference (SBPC) on August 19–20, 2026, with the theme, β€œEmpowering Young Journalists Through Responsible and Excellent Campus Journalism.”

The two-day activity aimed to enhance the skills of aspiring campus journalists in various journalistic disciplines while promoting responsible, ethical, and excellent journalism.

Through a series of activities and writing exercises, the participants were given opportunities to develop their skills in gathering information, writing news, and effectively communicating stories to the school community.

The activity was spearheaded and facilitated by the School Paper Adviser, Mr. Tinth T. Navarro, along with his fellow coaches, who shared their knowledge, expertise, and guidance in helping the young journalists strengthen their skills and understand the responsibilities of campus journalism.

The SBPC served as a venue for MLTHS learners to discover and develop their potential as young journalists who are committed to truth, accuracy, responsibility, and excellence in campus journalism.

As the activity concluded, the young journalists were encouraged to continue honing their craft and use their voices to inform, inspire, and make a positive impact in their school and community.

🧼🦠 Prioritizing the Health and Safety of Our Learners and School Personnel

As part of our proactive health and safety measures, the class advisers of Maximina Lim Tabilon High School conducted the cleaning and disinfection of their respective classrooms to help prevent the spread of sore eyes (conjunctivitis), following the reported increase in cases across the Province of Negros Oriental.

This initiative is undertaken in support of the preventive measures outlined in Executive Order No. 50, Series of 2026, issued by Governor Manuel β€œChaco” Sagarbarria, promoting a safe and healthy learning environment for all.
