Bakid Elementary School actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill as part of its continuing commitment to promote disaster preparedness and ensure the safety of its learners and community.
The drill was successfully carried out with the enthusiastic participation of pupils, faculty and staff, parents, PTA officials, barangay officials, and other community stakeholders.
Their collective involvement demonstrated a strong sense of cooperation and awareness in responding effectively to emergency situations, especially in the event of a major earthquake.
The activity was spearheaded by the school's DRRM Coordinator, Mr. Rugenrhil B. Bongcawil, who led the orientation and supervised the simulation process. Participants were guided on the proper ex*****on of the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” and were oriented on safe evacuation procedures and assembly point protocols.
Through this initiative, Bakid Elementary School reinforces its advocacy for building a culture of preparedness, resiliency, and safety among all its stakeholders. The school remains dedicated to aligning with national efforts in disaster response and preparedness, ensuring that every child and member of the school community is equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond appropriately during emergencies.
