Estiller, Assistant WCPD PNCO, discussed RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while PMSg Maricris C. Habla, WCPD PNCO, discussed RA 9262, RA 8353, RA 7610, the Anti-Bullying Act, and other related laws.

โ€ŽAn open forum followed, allowing BUGeans to ask questions, raise concerns, and gain a better understanding of the topics discussed. The program concluded with the awarding of certificates and tokens, followed by a photo opportunity with the guest speakers and BUGeans. Through OPLAN โ€œBISITA ESKWELA,โ€ the BUGC CSC continues to provide BUGeans with opportunities to learn, engage, and connect with the PNP while strengthening the partnership toward a safer and more secure Bicol University Gubat Campus.

โ€ŽThe General Assembly covered the councilโ€™s Constitution and By-Laws, accomplishments and updates from the previous semester, financial reports, and proposed programs, projects, and activities for A.Y. 2026โ€“2027. The open forum also provided BUGeans with an avenue to raise concerns, ask questions, and share their suggestions and ideas, along with updates on the reaccreditation of existing CBOs and DBOs. More than a presentation of reports and plans, the General Assembly was a space to listen, connect, and strengthen unity within the BUGC community. Every voice matters because YOU matter. Let us continue to participate and work together toward a more transparent, responsive, and united BUGC.

โ€ŽThe Bicol University Gubat Campus College Student Council (BUGC CSC), together with selected first-year students of Bicol University Gubat Campus, joined the PagBUnyag: Pista ng Pagsalubong 2026 on August 13, 2026, at Bicol University, Legazpi City.

โ€ŽThe day started with the foot parade, where the BUGC CSC and selected first-year students joined fellow BUeรฑos in making their way to the Bicol University Main Campus. The parade featured the different colleges showcasing their respective festival presentations, making the celebration more lively and colorful. The celebration continued at the Bicol University Commencement Grounds, where different colleges and organizations set up booths featuring various food, products, and activities. Together with the YES Organization and BSEd Society, the BUGC CSC and participating first-year students helped prepare and manage their booth from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The students also had the opportunity to explore the different college booths, enjoy the food and activities, and spend time with fellow students throughout the celebration.

โ€ŽThough the participation lasted for only one day, it was a meaningful experience filled with teamwork, fun, and memorable moments. It gave the students an opportunity to connect with fellow BUeรฑos, experience the welcoming spirit of the university, and proudly represent Bicol University Gubat Campus.

โ€ŽThe activity gathered first-year students, faculty members, and non-teaching personnel to strengthen their awareness and preparedness in responding to fire, earthquake, and other emergency situations. The activity was conducted with the support and participation of the BFP R5 Gubat Fire Station, under the leadership of FC SUPT Junito F. Maslang, DSC, Regional Director, and the direct supervision of FC INSP Eric Arizala Caramoan, MPA, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, Sorsogon. The Gubat Fire Station was headed by SFO4 Roger E. Jaymalin Jr., OIC Municipal Fire Marshal, together with the Gubat Fire Station personnel.

โ€ŽThe orientation focused on fire safety, earthquake preparedness, proper emergency response procedures, and the appropriate actions to take before, during, and after a disaster. Participants were also given practical guidance on fire safety and emergency preparedness as part of the activity. The activity also featured a message from Roscefe B. Dy, PhD, OIC Dean of BUGC, and closing remarks from Mae Andrea M. Ponce, MAN, RN, RM, Occupational Health and Safety Officer and BUGC Faculty.

Deblois, Associate Dean of BUGC, who shared an inspiring message, โ€œEvery Challenge is an Opportunity to Grow,โ€ and the introduction of faculty members, non-teaching personnel, CSC, and Junior Councilors led by Prof. Christine Ann Dealagdon Laguardia, CSC Adviser / CSAS Coordinator. The celebration continued with intermission performances from the Bicol University Gubat Campus Performing Arts Club (BUGPAC), adding excitement and energy to the event. Freshies also enjoyed interactive games and trivia sharing facilitated by the different committees, encouraging participation, building friendships, and strengthening the bond among students.

โ€ŽThe activity concluded with a mini-raffle, awarding ceremony, closing remarks from James Ryan Luna, CSC President, and a photo opportunity capturing the memorable moments of the celebration.
