To celebrate the feast of our holy guardian angels, the Guagua National Colleges, Incorporated (GNCI) held a First Friday Mass at the covered courts today.

The said mass was led by Reverend Father Jonathan Dizon and started at 8:00 a.m., preceded by the praying of the Holy Rosary.

Before formally starting his preach, Father Sison mentioned that the school had not held a Friday Mass for three to four months before todayโ€™s celebration.

โ€œ[We give thanks to Him that finally we are gathered here in this good day to praise and thank God],โ€ he stated.

Moreover, readings from the Book of Exodus and the Book of Matthew were featured during the mass.

In his homily, Father Sison reminded that everyone is created in the image and likeness of God and that God has assigned guardian angels to guide and protect each person.

โ€œOur angels are there to rule us, to guard us, and to guide us,โ€ he said.

He also explained that guardian angels help people stay away from sin and become closer to God.

โ€œSila yung naglalayo sa atin sa kasalanan at sila ang naglalapit sa atin sa Diyos,โ€ he added.

Father Sison further encouraged the students to help one another grow closer to God, emphasizing that everyone can become an โ€œangelโ€ to others through their actions.

The First Friday Mass was also held on the same day as the championship games of the GNCI Home Games 2026.

Teeming with exhilaration and running on nothing but adrenaline, our athletes showcased their gobsmacking capabilities in a variety of sports this September 30, turning every play, rally, sprint, and hard-fought point into moments worth remembering. From fierce competition to unforgettable cheers, Day 2 proved that the spirit of Intramurals is alive and kicking!

After all, each fighting day serves as a testament to the true essence of Intramurals, which goes beyond the scoreboard. It is found in the courage to compete, the discipline to persevere, the camaraderie we build, and the sportsmanship we carry with us long after the final blow.
