Guagua Community College (GCC) proudly participated in the recent 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢-𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 held in Clark, Pampanga.

The discussion served as a continuation of the milestone research study, “𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒚: 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑳𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒔 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑳𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑮𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒔,” bringing together key representatives from Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs), Local Government Units (LGUs), and national government agencies.

GCC’s participation provided an opportunity to share valuable insights and perspectives toward refining policy recommendations and advancing the autonomy, representation, and meaningful role of LUCs in local governance.

Through meaningful dialogue and collaboration, GCC continues to contribute to conversations that help shape a stronger and more responsive future for Local Universities and Colleges.

𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃𝐑𝐎-𝐈𝐈𝐈 𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐒 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑 ₱𝟕𝟓.𝟔𝐌 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐅𝐈𝐓𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐏𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀 𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐬

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA — To promote the continuous delivery of advanced and accessible quality higher education, the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDRO-III), through its Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST) Unit, officially turned over ₱75,693,150.00 in Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) benefits to various Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the province of Pampanga.

The ceremonial turnover, held on September 14, 2026, was conducted as part of the nationwide Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat initiative, reinforcing the national government's commitment to expanding educational opportunities for Filipino students.

The beneficiary higher education institutions in Pampanga include:

• Exact Colleges of Asia
• Guagua Community Colleges
• Guagua National Colleges
• Holy Cross College - Pampanga
• La Verdad Christian College
• Pampanga State Agricultural University
• Pampanga State University
• University of the Assumption

Under Republic Act 10931, or the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) serves as a vital financial lifeline for Filipino students in higher education. Designed to alleviate the economic burdens of pursuing a degree, the subsidy directly supports qualified grantees by covering essential academic costs.

By facilitating this financial distribution, CHEDRO-III reaffirms its dedicated partnership with Higher Education Institutions in Pampanga. This collaboration is integral to creating an inclusive academic ecosystem where financial limitations no longer restrict deserving students from completing their studies, securing a degree, and contributing meaningfully to regional and national growth.

Please be informed that all classes at Guagua Community College (GCC) will temporarily shift to ONLINE CLASSES starting September 07, 2026 (Monday) UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE due to ongoing power-related issues affecting the campus.

There will be NO FACE-TO-FACE (F2F) CLASSES during this period.

Students are advised to coordinate with their respective instructors and regularly check their official class group chats for schedules, online class links, learning materials, and further instructions.

Please be informed that, pursuant to Executive Order No. 2026-038 issued by the Municipality of Guagua, all modalities of classes at all levels in all public and private schools in Guagua are suspended on Saturday, August 29, 2026, due to the continuing effects of the enhanced Southwest Monsoon and the low-pressure area.

This suspension is implemented to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and personnel.

📢 GCC ADVISORY | SHIFT TO ALTERNATIVE DELIVERY MODE

In compliance with Executive Order No. 2026-037 issued by the Municipality of Guagua, Guagua Community College (GCC) announces the temporary shift to Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) of classes on August 28, 2026, due to the effects of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), heavy rainfall, and flooding.

The safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff remain our top priority. Please stay safe, remain vigilant, and continue to monitor the official GCC page for further announcements and instructions.

On 28 August 2026, all public and private schools in Guagua, Pampanga, are ordered to temporarily suspend the conduct of face-to-face classes and shift to an alternative delivery mode of learning due to the heavy rainfall warning and flooding caused by the Southwest Monsoon rains.
